He lied about his age, they figured out he was 16 shortly he got there, they sent him back on a rush. He didn’t try again at 17 or any other age. But he did join the Army a few years later, but got a Big Chicken Dinner within a couple years. Kicked out for being gay in 1988.

All of these years later he’s still a fraud.

My mom just got back from camping today and bought us a 20 lb bag of rice for only $7 at Walmart because it was on sale.

I went to the grocery store after work today. The cash register I was at was right in front of the beer and wine aisle, aisle #3. I'm standing in line, waiting my turn, when I hear a page: "Loss Prevention to aisle #3." I look behind me and this little drug addled drunk is filling a knapsack full of beer. He fills as much as the bag will hold and starts to leave the store with absolutely no intentions of paying. The customer service manager and loss prevention representative are telling him he needs leave the bag. This guy is just walking out, he couldn't give a fuck. Store staff was doing nothing about it. I thought, fuck this noise, I stepped out of the line and grabbed the bag. I told the thieving prick he wasn't just walking out with it. He let go of the bag and left. To my surprise staff at the store told me they couldn't stop him. It was against company policy. The company didn't want to assume liability, someone could get hurt! I thought wow, any shit rat can walk into any retail store and steal, and there's fuck all staff can do. They thanked me for grabbing the bag from the thief. I walked out of there thinking WTF, staff can't act, loss prevention can't act. There's something very wrong with that thinking. All the shit rats know they have a free pass at any retail outlet. No wonder the price of goods is out of control. Just sad, the times we're living in now.

11 days is they took one look and said "no, not you".
I think the fastest we had was 5 weeks. They took a drug test right after you got off the plane, before you went to bed the 1st night at R&O (receiving and orientation).
Back in the mid-70s things moved slow, paper work moved slow, testing apparently took time or somehow the samples got hung up.
Guy was a loud-mouth Texan, he was probably the only recruit in our company who wanted to act Joe-Military. 

He was talking about how he was going to be a 30-year man and crap like that.
I heard he begged for another chance, admitted he made a mistake, friends gave him speed to stay awake on the airplane as a parting gift - No! Not You! was the answer

thanks, Don. we had a COHORT of 11Bs waitin on us when the 9th Inf Regt transferred to Ft Lewis, WA. One of the Cherry Privates was nothin more than a POS street thug with attitude. he ended up PISSADEARED one night, CID came to the barracks, arrested him and sent him back to his hometown where he had murder charges waitin on him!
he made it through Basic/AIT, reported to his Duty Station and was in the clear for a few months, then he wasnt!
he was a real piece of shit.
