Taking demolitions home just seems like theft. I was about to say the same thing, instead of turning it back in, have a ton of fun blowing it up. It would absolutely make more sense to revamp the turn in process so people wouldn't mind doing it. It should be a simple sign in of items. I'm sure they have a log of what goes out, just create a log for the leftovers. It would save the navy money.

So few people can do that, tell when something is altered. I think it's a bit to do with photographic memory. Ill come downstairs and notice my bag straps are laying in a slightly different position than I'd left it. My husband would always be shocked, he thought it impossible to notice. Haha, the first time he claimed innocence. He learned better of that real fast (when I started yelling at imaginary ghosts, because it had to be ghosts if it wasn't him). Finally he admitted that he wanted beer money. Well, I don't care much about the beer or getting into my bag, but the lie is what upsets me. I'm impossible to lie to me, my bs detector is too good.

some many, many years ago, after all our 203 guys qualified, we ended up with several/lots of cases of 40MM (blue pill), sooooo- being caring NCO's we let the guys head back to the barracks and some R&R, and proceeded to lob 40's down range for the next couple hours. Not using either of the attached sights on the 203, it is surprising how accurate one can become just by guesstimating, 2-300 yds, through car windows, APC hatches, hitting 55 gal drums, crows..... anyhow, just like throwing darts, practice, practice.....

My first Sgt. in Saudi, on a trip taking supplies to my Ordnance Co, July 91, told me to take a look in the "amnesty" box and see what our boys were doing, In his HQ tent, 4x4x4 box, 1/2 full of weird stuff,(weird for an amnesty box) upon close examination, our guys had opened Dial soap wrappers, formed C4 into shape and resealed, large tubes of toothpaste, cut the bottom, squeezed out the paste, filled with C4, glued the bottoms back, cans of Barbasol- they had cut out the bottoms and formed C4 into them. Of note, Barbasol shaving cream cans are tough.....some idiot cut a plastic canteen in half, filled it with C4, then "heat" sealed/glued it back.....there is no end to what Alabama boys will do to make the next 4th of July memorable.....

During a training exercise, I was on the M1a1tank connecting a simmunition for the main gun, which, when shot, sent white smoke into the air to simulate the main gun being fired. Luckily for me, I actually followed safety procedures, and when I placed one of the cartridges in and connected the wiring, it went off. It knocked me backwards and rang my ears; my bell and my hands were numb. Always thanked my senior enlisted for the training and enforcing safety. W/O that, I may have been seriously injured. You mentioned in your last video you have lived a charmed life. And I also feel that way. I can recount several incidents where I should have been killed, and for some reason the Lord seems to love fools and protected me. Also, had the opportunity to experience things others don't. Like chasing and fighting a 300 pound naked sweaty fat man. Thanks for all you have done and for continuing to share your life with all of us.

During covid my husband gave me a DSLR cannon camera so I could entertain myself and not bother him. I played with that thing for hours to the point I was fighting my sleep to play with it. Then my health got bad for a really long time and didn't have energy to use it. My health is finally back to normal so I've been starting to take pictures again.

I remember we used to shoot every last bit of ammo we took to the range. One of the best times we had was when we went to fort Eustis so we could shoot the M14s (we never swapped to M16). We had TONS of ammo boxes for both the 7.62 and the 45 rounds (we didn’t get the barettas until 97).
We rapid fired so many rounds that we got tired of shooting and the guns were crazy hot. We took a break while they put the guns back in the van with the AC turned all the way up. Then TM1 told everyone that we weren’t going ANYWHERE until all of the ammo we brought was gone.
We got it done. But holy crap… I was switching from right to left hand shooting just because.

I don't know all that much about fixing computers. I do know a little bit about backing them up. Carbonite and iDrive are 2 that I have used. Each has their benefits and limitations. But when your computer dies in a pile it's nice to be able to reload everything from on line storage. It has saved me in the past.
I worked for Eastwood n Gavel a construction company up in the Rockies. I did a lot of drilling and blasting for them and was taught much. My company truck carried explosives most of the time. The one thing i wanted was det cord and a few blasting caps, it would have been easy to take it.
