You have a great wife Don, and Glad you made the choice to share your life with all of us. Many people live a life and, in the end, are full of regrets. You made a choice to live a life worth living and put others and your country before yourself. Our country is here today because of men like you. We might be old and maybe not as agile as we once were. But if harm comes our way we are still dangerous to those meant to do us harm. God bless ya, and I'll be a one-armed Duck again starting tomorrow. So if I make some strange comments I'll blame it on the surgery and pain meds. Dianne, you're a good woman and will be praying for you and Senior.

I take care of a buddy of mine (mid-70s) who has been struggling for ten years with Parkinsons, and I have to say, none of your symptoms look anything like it. Balance issues come from all kinds of issues. Struggling to remember the older you get it just math. Is it harder to search through a box with 10 things or 1000 things? The older you get, the more things you're searching through. It's not old age, it's a normal process with more items. The moment you don't care about finding the information is the real sign of something.
Remember, if you entered a hospital healthy, and asked them if you're sick, they'll find a way to make it true.

Lurker, very part time commentator, physician (obviously). I would notice the quake in your voice when you would get riled up years ago, but I wasn’t sure what was going on. I noticed the shaking. But discerning between adrenaline rush and sequelae as a result of an underlying neurological condition is hard in early stages.
My grandmother, who was born in 1900, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in the late 60s. She became bed bound at one point. A very religious woman, she prayed nightly for peace from her condition. By 1969, she was walking and talking normal, her only major symptom as the continued “reptilian stare” that I remember so well as a boy, as I was born in 1973. She lived until April of 2000, passing sway from pneumonia at 99.
Did prayer heal her? She believed it did. What do i believe? Well, I just know the drugs at that time were limited and weren’t known to provide miracles. Her condition was either a mild case, or the drugs worked…or divine intervention.
Anyway, I am simply relating the story. It’s what was told to me as I was physically not present during her initial years of diagnosis.
Always rooting for you and Diane, thank you for your site, your service, and the fun and enjoyment it brings us all!

400 square metres total privacy. Im up on the tank stand which is about a yard off the ground. Now that we have electricity and pumps, they dont need to be up on a stand, the stand is a deck about 20 square yards and I will convert it into a deck for drinking beer and smoking preventative parkinsons strain weed. Its quite a nice view and with a few pallets I will go up another half a yard.
Frosty this morning and for the next few, but lovely sunny day, shorts and tshirt 17C.
30 cubic yards of wood chips spread. Did the 20x20 mere yard and down the back where the new trees are. I have enough left over to make a few paths. Its looking very nice compared to what it was. This summer I will take some pics and set them aside if I sell the place I can use them. Is there a live stream sunday night or is it next week? who fucking knows.
Another weekend is here. Mom is off this weekend but is going to Vegas with her other lush friends for a girls' retreat. So we'll be staying at our good neighbor Hef's place again. Hef told us he felt bad about Mom blowing us off for a trip to Vegas. He promised us a good time, said we'd have a nice steak BBQ and a few cold ones. Hef's a good man, but it was we who felt bad. In case you missed our previous post, we now take priority at the shop. We are HVAC techs extraordinaire. This caused a few ripples with Hef and the other boys at the shop. We decided we'd do something nice for Hef. Hef has always been a Star Wars fan and intrigued by the dark side of the Force. He believed he could easily become Emperor Sidious's apprentice and then destroy him to become Emperor himself. Then once in power, he would be able to bring highly advanced HVAC technology back to our time, patent this technology, and make a fortune for himself. So you guessed it, folks, the DeLorean rides again. Our destination: Coruscant, the year 19 BBY. We chose this time in particular because we already traveled there previously. During our brief stay, we used the DeLorean to destroy the Death Star. Then we destroyed Lord Vader. The timing would be perfect; Sidious would need a new apprentice to replace Vader, Hef would fit that bill nicely. The Sith rule of two: a Master and an apprentice. This was done to maintain order; eventually, when the time was right, the apprentice would destroy the Master, thus becoming the Master and choosing a new apprentice for himself. We arrived and very quickly Hef became Sidious's new apprentice. Hef quickly challenged him for ultimate power. The battle was close, their Force power was very equal. The one and only thing that tipped the scales in Hef's favor was his Marine Corps training. Now that Hef was Emperor, he quickly abandoned the rule of two; he decided that he would choose three apprentices, not one. Now we were players on Hef's chessboard, his three new apprentices. We already used the DeLorean's onboard computer to download all the advanced HVAC technologies this time had to offer. So all that was left was to let Hef enjoy his power as the new Emperor. He put the fear of God into everyone around him, he Force choked those who were still loyal to Sidious, and he got to oversee the plans for the new Death Star. Not bad for a day's work. All good things come to an end. He promised us a steak BBQ and beers, time to head home. We're all about not altering the timeline, but we did let Hef bring back his lightsaber. He used the damn thing to BBQ the steaks, and admittedly they were very tasty...
Thanks for posting, im experiencing much the same things you are, mine came from intensive chemical exposures as a Phantom Phixer in the USAF.. Here's a pic of some of my Wild Weasels, that I helped put in the air each day. The VA has been all but useless in putting the pieces together, I heard a similar thing, "It didn't seem so bad" so they put me on the back burner.. Hearing you talk about it is like hearing myself try to tell people what im experiencing. Anyhow I appreciate you coming forth with this, your info and experiences help me to focus on this and maybe figure out how to deal with it a bit better.. Stay Strong Brother!
Greetings, probably won’t be on til much later….. Tina and I just finished dinner at Coopers Hawk, one of our faves! What a great partner in life,,,, 👍❤️ Enjoy your time everyone 👍🙏🇺🇸🎵🎶🎶🎵
Please tell Diane that she really needs to attend to her health as well. My grandfather had Alzheimer’s, and my grandmother took the same attidude as Diane is taking: I can't worry about myself, I need to take care of my man. That's a really, really sweet and lovely thing, unfortunately women are mortal too. My grandmother who was in fairly good shape when my grandfather was diagnosed died before my grandfather did because she spent every waking moment taking care of him, even before he couldn't be left alone or even when there were others to take care of my grandfather. You both need to take care of youselves and each other. Your Parkinsons will worsen, and she needs to be in top shape when it does, for both of you. Medical testing doesn't mean she can't be there for you, it means she might be there for you longer and perhaps better than if she doesn't.

Hef thinks he can one-up us. There's a new sheriff in town now. Hef and the rest of the boys will fall in line, or they can fall into the unemployment line. We showed the boss where he can cut the fat and be more efficient. We also showed him how he can tap dance around the IRS. We now have first choice at the holiday schedule and any other time off requests. The on-call schedule has also been changed significantly. It's good to be the king. The boss has now signed off on three new work vans for us. Like we've said many times before, "the big machine keeps rolling, be on it or under it." Now Hef is more than happy to buy us Burger King. Funny how that works when your days could be numbered...🤔
Hey guys!!! Replanting trees today a few died during the brutal heat wave!! Speaking of which. My Uncle Ben lived into his nineties. He used to come by my house with my Aunt Thelma. He use to get up very close to me and take out a wad of bills and throw a couple 20s on the table. And say "What you got boy"? 😂😂🤣 Essentially challenging me to push ups. I always let him win but the badass would still be knocking them out though. That shit was funny as hell.I miss him.

hi senior chief- i should say a little something> thats terrible- i have sympathy- im sorry that happened to u- my dad died from parkinsons- descendants tend to have about a 15 percent chance of getting it but so far im ok- my family was divided over how to deal with his situation- he was in pain what was managed by pills- i mean> the rest of my family wanted to send him to a nursing home while he wanted to kill himself- so> he died a long slow painful death- i would have done something different like maybe help him- it involves a sensitive subject> do not ruscitate? dnr- parkinsons can be a lot of different brain damage things but -i think- usually it involves shaky hands- so> actually im sad for u- iffin it was me id find and keep an emergency stash of fentanyl- i think u should retire- fuk it all- i have selfish motivations- i wanted u to help with my coms but- fuk it all take it easy- its time to retire- i like your presentations

We have lost our last WW2 Bomber Command WW2 Vet who has died aged 103 just days after the second last Ray Merrill DFC. Angas 'Gus' Hughes enlisted into the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in July 1942 at the age of 18. After training in Australia as an observer, he was posted to the United Kingdom where he served as a navigator and bomb aimer with No 467 Squadron RAAF, at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire. Gus flew 32 missions with No 467 Squadron, being shot down on his last, on the night of 26 September 1944. He spent the remainder of the war as a prisoner of war (POW) in Germany. One of Gus's most vivid memories of his time as a POW was a hellish 21-day 209 km forced march carried out in the middle of winter, during January and February 1945. This march was undertaken because the Germans were retreating before the Russian advance. The prisoners were marched from Stalag Luft VII through the snow with almost no food. After being liberated by the Soviet army in May 1945, Gus and his fellow prisoners were held by the Soviets for a month before they were released. Gus was discharged from the RAAF as a Flying Officer in December 1945. He returned to studying accountancy and married a former member of the Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force (WAAAF). He worked as a registered tax agent and licenced auditor until 1983, when he sold his practice but continued to work several hours a week at his old profession in order to keep his mind active.
That statement at 13 min, doesn't sound right. You paid into Medicare, you get that, you retired from the Navy, you get Tricare. The way Medicare alone works is that if you sign up late you will have annual (split into monthly) additional fees but you still get Medicare. They generally take it out of your Social Security check but pushing the full Social Security retirement age back complicated that. You have to make Medicare co-payments to get Medicare benefits and actually use Medicare. I signed up for Medicare by age 65 but the AI Overview below matches what I was told. Apparently Tricare now works with Medicare, sort of like "Medicare pays 1st" but Tricare is it's own thing, it doesn't work exactly like Medicare Advantage and you'll have to research what to do. The search below matches what they told me.

Funny how that works when your days could be numbered...🤔

hi senior chief- i should say a little something> thats terrible- i have sympathy- im sorry that happened to u- my dad died from parkinsons- descendants tend to have about a 15 percent chance of getting it but so far im ok- my family was divided over how to deal with his situation- he was in pain what was managed by pills- i mean> the rest of my family wanted to send him to a nursing home while he wanted to kill himself- so> he died a long slow painful death- i would have done something different like maybe help him- it involves a sensitive subject> do not ruscitate? dnr- parkinsons can be a lot of different brain damage things but -i think- usually it involves shaky hands- so> actually im sad for u- iffin it was me id find and keep an emergency stash of fentanyl- i think u should retire- fuk it all- i have selfish motivations- i wanted u to help with my coms but- fuk it all take it easy- its time to retire- i like your presentations
