Where did this "sidebar" looking thing come from?
It doesn't look like the duckduckgo browser and it doesn't look like what happens if you make duckduckgo your default search engine.
It looks like a duckduckgo app running on another browser.
DuckDuckGo it's self is an aggregator and the app (if that's what this is) takes the aggregated information and displays it for you without the "here's the link" format that the browser would use if you did a simple web search on the browser.

Duck Duck go originally did things like ad free anonymous Google searches, they changed and now will also use Bing, Yahoo and other search engines.
If Duck Duck Go found it it is from another search engine but I don't think you can tell which one.
Try Bing and Yahoo first, but it's out there somewhere that a search engine could get. 

Once Google Search got the market share they became total bastards with ads and putting pay sites out front. It's now so bad that even if you go 30 or 40 levels down you can't find something that's out there.
