For those that did serve in the military and received an honorable discharge, any normal person would defer much respect and admiration for them regardless of what their job happened to be. Once they lie and "upgrade" their accomplishments with lies, they blow it all up. I work in the financial industry and have worked with Marines, an Army Ranger (very soft spoken nice guy), a Naval Academy Grad / Marine Officer (my boss for 11 years until he retired) , regular army, navy and air force and none of them would talk it up at all unless you asked them about it. All of them were great people who made an impact with the company.

Attention Terry: Many thanks for adding the "delete" option to the "reply" function. But....when I tap it, the word "delete" turns red, but for me, on my iPad, the post still sits there. I tried refreshing...it's still there. Anyone here tried this yet? Thanks again!

I've received some inquiries on Mick Deaver, the 17 yrs old hockey player who suffered a neck injury. He is still in Boston at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Apparently top notch, where Christopher Reeves went. He will be there a bit before coming back home. He has some movement in his arms. He can bend his wrists though fingers stay curled so far. As yet no feeling in his legs, feet, or toes. He is getting PT and OT 3 hours M -F. Little on Saturday too. Mick has to relearn everything. How to hold a fork, etc. He has movement in his head and neck though he is still wearing a brace and that is limited.
A teammate visited reporting Mick has a positive attitude, absolutely no self-pity. "He is ready to fight." His teammate said. Thank you everyone for keeping Mick and his family in your thoughts.
His Mom and sister are going up to join Mick and his Dad in Boston for Christmas.
