Just to add to Buddy's post, it is a sad day for Canada; George Chuvalo was a Canadian icon, not just for what he did in the ring, but also for what he did outside of it. RIP Champ. 🙏❤️🙏
No news on why the Coppers were around, but a Helicopter did crash yesterday up the road. The State Emergency Service from here turned out we are probably 100 miles away, but the closest, and they sent a MEDEVAC flight from Sydney 700 miles away, a Jet to Broken Hill, so he had good insurance.. but all turned back. Everything is a long ways apart here. One flight might have been as the result of an auto beacon going off. Seems it was close to the Homestead based on times. Someone got to him within about 15 minutes but nothing could be done.
A 51 year old local man died when his "Sports" helicopter crashed into a hill. It was a gusty northerly, nothing else known. Might have been mustering, I suspect showing off. Its pretty hard to hit a hill, not many to choose.

This is the old TV antenna, 2 x 10 yards one telescopes inside the other. It fell down and the insurance had to pay me 6 grand. I was going to move it, waiting for a project. But a flash of brilliance, I will cut it into 4, set in in concrete, make a stand for a platform. Concrete them in, make a deck call it 15 foot square, 12 feet high, give me an amazing view. If I keep the floor level at top of fence height, the Council cant see it so I dont need a permit. Genius me.

Some progress, this view you havent seen,everything is new apart from the rosemary. I lost two 20 ft tall trees to witchetty grubs, the wattle is coming into flower, but it killed the Pear tree. Some Wattles give off a smell in the air and through the roots that kills other trees and thats whats happened here. The top of the wattle is 30ft in 7 years, sorry shit pic you cant see it. Its a nice view now and looks even better from the neighbors side. That was the plan. Before it was weeds and overgrown as in car size, wild roses. I took Blairzys shit pot off the Cherubs head to see what happened, nothing happened.

It will be interesting to see how the grape vine goes this year. Shipley is resting under it, he has not sunk as much as I thought, but its only been 9 months. The most loyal and gentle Dog I ever had. He used to go to the shop and let the spastic kiddies in wheel chairs pat him. He knew they could only dribble and moan and wave their arms, so he would side up to them and put his head in their lap. They would scream and kick their legs, and shout OOOAY and piss themselves with delight.
Then he would have a good sniff and give em a lick and the carers would be in conniptions and they would all have to go home to change, see ya bye.
Another weekend is upon us. Mom is working another stretch of nights at the hospital, so we will be staying with our good neighbor, Hef, again this weekend. September is here; it sucks being back in school. Where did the summer go? Hef has been telling us that if he were not a Marine, he probably would have ended up in the Navy. He was telling us how much he wished to be in command of one of the earlier historic U.S. Navy ships. We put some real thought into this one. So, you guessed it, folks: the DeLorean rides again. Our destination: Boston Harbor; the date: October 21, 1797. The ship: the famous U.S. Navy frigate USS Constitution. Hef, of course, insisted on the rank of Admiral; we, of course, had to be Hef's deck apes. Hef ordered us to row him from port out to where the Constitution was anchored. He knows we are still hungover from yesterday, so he is enjoying making us row. After what seemed like forever rowing, we finally boarded the Constitution. Once aboard, Hef started outlining our duties: batten down the hatches, swab the deck, double-check every rope and knot, and make sure everything is up to snuff. Then he did an about-face and disappeared to his quarters with some tavern wench he picked up back in port. We just assumed, since the Constitution had just been launched, that everything onboard would be up to snuff, so we bailed on our orders. It is not like Hef would be checking anytime soon. We decided to fire the cannons at different random targets—bridges and fishing boats, you know, that sort of thing. After that no longer amused us, we decided to crash for a few hours of shut-eye...

The house we currently live in was my mother's when I was 12 to 18. Our first house we bought was infested with black mold after I started to not be able to breathe so we had to move out asap. My mom recently put her old house on the market because the stairs were getting to be too much so we were able to buy it quickly. Sometimes when I'm in the basement I randomly find pictures from my tween or teen years of living there. Just found this back when I was 14 in freshman year of high school. I remember it was around this time when school shootings were becoming a problem and a kid brought a hand gun into school in his backpack. We went into lockdown and the kid was arrested. We went home early and my parents were extremely upset. Also during this time, smartphones were brand new and internet bullying became a problem. There was a fight between two girls and AJ, one of the students, recorded and posted it on Facebook. It actually made the morning news the next day and they were talking about how phones are becoming a problem. AJ got suspended because he recorded it and a lot of other students got suspended for sharing it. Also, Vine was rampant as well. It was when you have to make a funny video in 7 seconds and post it on Vine or YouTube. Tiktok had nothing on Vine. The civil rights movement became a huge thing during this time as well. This was the start of good things like when gay and lesbian people fought to get married before it turned into what it is now. Damn. 16 years and It feels like it was only a few years ago. 😂😂😂😂

Going through catching up on videos. Been busy with family this summer. Weddings and a funeral. My mom's funeral was last Saturday. Last year I was in New York on September 11. 25 years ago I had just walked in the door from walking the kids to school, and my wife had the TV on. My wife told me to go back and get the kids, so I did. I took this photo from the Staten Island Ferry with my cell phone when I was there last year. Had her since I was ten. Once again, very well loved and still is. My dad got her as a christmas gift to me. I remember being so excited when I unwrapped her. Named her Natasha. My mom got rid of my American Girl dolls, barbie dolls, and other toys when I was in high school despite my protests because she said teenagers don't play with dolls. I'm still salty about that. At least now that I'm an adult and moved out I can collect those things again with my husband helping me. Lol.

Great video, Senior; you're right, everyone knows where they were when the towers came down. I was at a buddy's house getting a haircut from his mom. CNN was on, and my buddy's dad said a plane had just hit one of the towers. Then the second tower was hit. I knew then that this was no accident and that the world wouldn't be the same. Twenty-five years later, and I remember it like it was yesterday. God bless all the victims and their families, the military, the American people, and all the first responders...🙏

I was in the US only two months before 9/11 when I was 5. I remember I was at my dad's friend's house while him and his friend Bob fixed the roof. We saw it on TV and I remember wanting to go back to Russia where it was less scary.

The first one looked deliberate then the second one and I knew we were all going to War. That morning, people were driving like maniacs, like the world was about to end, and they havent slowed down since. Last year I was in New York on September 11. 25 years ago I had just walked in the door from walking the kids to school, and my wife had the TV on. My wife told me to go back and get the kids, so I did. I took this photo from the Staten Island Ferry with my cell phone when I was there last year. Had her since I was ten. Once again, very well loved and still is. My dad got her as a christmas gift to me. I remember being so excited when I unwrapped her. Named her Natasha. My mom got rid of my American Girl dolls, barbie dolls, and other toys when I was in high school despite my protests because she said teenagers don't play with dolls. I'm still salty about that. At least now that I'm an adult and moved out I can collect those things again with my husband helping me. Lol.

Great video, Senior; you're right, everyone knows where they were when the towers came down. I was at a buddy's house getting a haircut from his mom. CNN was on, and my buddy's dad said a plane had just hit one of the towers. Then the second tower was hit. I knew then that this was no accident and that the world wouldn't be the same. Twenty-five years later, and I remember it like it was yesterday. God bless all the victims and their families, the military, the American people, and all the first responders...🙏

I was in the US only two months before 9/11 when I was 5. I remember I was at my dad's friend's house while him and his friend Bob fixed the roof. We saw it on TV and I remember wanting to go back to Russia where it was less scary.

I was sleeping with the radio on, I heard something that woke me up, turned the TV on and watched it as tho it was live. The first one looked deliberate then the second one and I knew we were all going to War.
That morning, people were driving like maniacs, like the world was about to end, and they havent slowed down since.
Was the 20 year payback and thousands more lives lost worth it? of course not, Afghanistan won, like they always do.. No one conquers Afghanistan.
