Back in 1981.In order to just get the 'Toilet bowl".Later called "The Pizza Box".Officially known as The Rifle Marksmanship Badge.You had to score atleast 190 out of 250.That means you had to put atleast 7 of your 10 shots in the black.From 500 yards out.Prone position.Without a scope or shoulder assisted stock.Just an overly tight sling and some kentucky windage.In order to get off my Island.

Just watched a video on the living conditions aboard the Abraham Lincoln Carrier. 250 days deployed, 200 days since anyone has been to port. Not sure why they haven't been rotated back home yet? Makes me think they don't have the equipment or personnel to replace them. This war of atricion won't work with the Iranians. They're hell bent on standing firm, no matter how much destruction comes their way. Religious martyrs is what I would call them. This conflict is costly for the U.S. At what point does the U.S tell Isreal, you're on your own. You figure out how to get along with your neighbors.

On November 16, 1949, 138 students in Ghent, Belgium occupied the medieval Gravensteen castle in what became known as the “Battle of the Gravensteen.”
They barricaded the entrance, hung banners from the battlements and pelted police and firefighters with overripe fruit.
The most famous demand was “Beer at 3 francs!” after the price had risen to 4 francs. They also mocked new police caps and called for the closure of the local city jail. The whole thing was largely an elaborate student prank rather than a serious uprising.
Police and firefighters eventually retook the castle using a fire ladder. The stunt became international news and turned into a Ghent student legend that has been commemorated ever since.

Good Sunday Morning Everyone!! Hotter than Hell here today but the yard needs mowed so I'm doing the thing...My foot {both feet} swelled up so bad I couldn't even walk. I'd been painting a room in the house all day. Went to Urgent Care for xrays....turns out I have severe arthritis in both feet and 3 of my toes are really eat up with this shit!!! I don't know what else can go wrong with this old body of mine!! Anyway, I'm alive and breathing so it ain't all bad I guess. Hope you guys have a relaxing wonderful Sunday and I pray Fall gets here soon!! Ready for firepits and sweatshirts!! Diane

Kim and I wanted to personally thank you for the part you played in helping Cole get to where he is today.
You may remember Cole as the kid whose dream was to become a Navy SEAL. At the time, his Navy recruiter was telling him that he could still become a SEAL despite needing a waiver for a heart murmur. You stepped in and made sure Cole got the truth. You had someone from Naval Special Warfare contact him directly, and Cole learned that the waiver he needed would not be approved.
That could have been the end of his dream of serving in an elite unit, but you pointed him in another direction. You told him, “The Rangers will give you a waiver.”
You were right.
Cole joined the Army, became a 68W Combat Medic, received the waiver he needed, and earned his opportunity to attend RASP. After everything it took to get here, we are incredibly proud to tell you that Cole Farmer will graduate RASP Class 7-26 on August 19th and become a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Sometimes one conversation or one person willing to tell a young man the truth can completely change the direction of his life. You did that for Cole. Instead of letting him chase a path that wasn’t going to be available to him, you helped point him toward one where he could still pursue the kind of service and challenge he wanted.
We haven’t forgotten it, and neither has Cole.
Thank you, Senior Chief, for looking out for our son and helping him find his path. You played a part in getting him to this moment, and Kim and I will always be grateful.
The first time you have a couple Canada geese on the lake it's kind of nice. When you get a couple hundred depositing 50 pounds of goose shit all over the shore every day then you get a 15 goose limit.
Another weekend is here; Mom is off. She's gone shopping for our back-to-school clothes and other supplies she says we'll need: pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, calculators, pencil cases, and rulers. So we'll be at our good neighbor Hef's place while Mom runs around doing all this shopping for us. We tried to tell her not to buy any crayons, that between Chuck, Red, Hef, Herman, and Mastin, we have all the crayons we'll ever need. Who knows if she heard us or not; she was hitting the bottle pretty good when we were trying to talk to her. We just let that go; we have bigger concerns to worry about. Ever since Hef has been grooming us for the Corps, we've been putting in the work and doing our due diligence. It's not enough to be in the Corps, but how can we make the Corps better? A huge undertaking for us, seeing that there isn't a whole lot wrong currently. We're going to target recruitment, retention, and training for those who will be going back to civilian life after their honorable military service. How do we pull this off, you ask? We need access to their mainframe computer system. To get access and entry to the Marine Corps headquarters, we needed to call in a favor. We sent a private message to the Donald; we explained to him what we needed to do. He messaged us back immediately, "All good, boys." Access has been granted, access from the Oval Office, unconditional access. So you guessed it, the DeLorean rides again. For this special trip, we asked Mastin to accompany us. Someone who could break the ice for us, someone who knows the lingo and the lay of the land. Our destination: Georgia, the Marine Corps logistics base. When we arrived, we immediately gained computer access, very simply done using the DeLorean's onboard computer system. The first thing we did was clean up Chuck's, Red's, Hef's, Herman's, and Mastin's disciplinary records. My God, drinking, fighting, insubordination, and assaulting a superior officer. The boys were no strangers to the brig. The second thing we did was arrange for the boys to hold symposiums and transition programs for all new and retiring Marines. Hef will speak about pursuing career opportunities in the trades. Chuck will speak about the downfalls of excessive gambling. Red will speak about learning to operate large equipment and building bikes. Herman will speak about properly allocating time and other money-making activities. Mastin will speak about making gobs of money by mastering A.I. That's the trade-off for us cleaning up their very sketchy disciplinary records. We're pretty sure we just made the Corps a little bit better with these new resources and programs...
