I really admire how you brought up your son and his friends! I had a father who had zero time to do such things but he was smart to introduce me to his friend’s son an Illinois Conservation Police Officer. I learned how to hunt, fish, make decoys all the kind of stuff you discuss. I had time for my son and took him everywhere. Got him out to Hawaii where he completed all blocks of training for scuba diving beyond the general course. Don, the world needs more fathers like you (and me) as the world would be a better place. My friend the “duck cop” is now 78 and we speak 3-5 times per week. These experiences shape the hearts and minds of kids. I hope someday I could bring him to your place duck hunting etc. as I’d love to meet you! Keep the videos coming!

I’ve been a C17 electrical/ECS grease monkey since 1999 (res. and dod). The first day I was introduced to the aircraft I heard this story as part of a safety thing (I did not know he was a SEAL). Well, it turns out after that accident occurred, in response to the overlooked  safety issue, they engineered a differential gauge (pic) on the crew entry door to avoid this from ever happening again, and it definitely would have happened again.  Another thing, the crew should have ensured aircraft is depressurized prior to stopping.  If not at least open the pilot or copilot sliding glass window  to vent the pressure.

He battled health issues but after heart stints and artery cleaning he's able to get around. At 77 all considering not bad. For years he never talked much about the war. Heart breaking at it is he kept quiet cause a country took it out on the soldier. Being there during tet he was in the thick of it. Going to post some pics. Hope Everyone has a great day

Hmm, intriguing Don. I guess as a subscriber that comes back every few months I am just curious why the uploads have lacked as of late. This "series" is intriguing but are you just breaking one story down into 50 videos that will then count as separate uploads? This is really hard to follow between the multiple uploads! I guess I am more used to seeing some longer videos and inbox seals/phonys/hunting videos. I guess my ask it that you make your upload schedule more transparent.. there's only a handful of videos per month that I basically just wait two or 3 months then come back to see what has been uploaded. The phony navy seals of the week have gotten very rare to see these days.. just my two cents and I am not trying to be an asshole. I just think that it would be useful to know what your intentions are moving forward or if you are wanting to wind it down which would be totally understandable as well.

Broke down in Bitburg, Germany, Long story short, Air Force guy was a clown, finally got dinner 11pm'ish, barmaid tried to take dad home so "I could play with her son" lmao.. Stayed in the barracks, communal cold shower and, at 10, I didn't want to get in either! How you speak the truth of being a Chief back in the day. We constantly trained and it paid off. When we went into the Gulf for Earnest Will in 1988 we were ready. When we went back for Desert Shield/Storm we trained even more. Being a Chief during DS/DS I had the confidence that we were ready for anything.
We were constantly underway training back in the late 80's and early 90's.
I wasn't a SEAL but man can I relate to the rest of your story.
