Beach for 75 years, I have probably known 25-30 SEAL guys, and every last one of them was as Humble as can be, never bragging or calling attention to themselves—just an all-around bunch of good guys. We have a couple who are members of the Eagles club here in Va.Beach who always volunteer doing something for the club. Then they disappear for weeks at a time, but nobody asks what or where they had been.

I emailed an interview with Travis ( with times Took me for ever to find and get the times for you to watch hey I know you are a busy guy and I have nothing but time) where he lays out all his claims but there is no verification. Wow, deja vu all over again. Last year I rember this same incident happening. Every Thursday I take Mom out for supper to Matty O'Shea's, a nice Irish pub. Each new year they come out with new menus. They add new things, drop some things that didn't do well. The new menus also reflect any price increases from the previous year. The service, portions, and prices are second to none. They do very well in my small hometown, everyone comes to Matty O'Shea's. Tonight Mom and I are enjoying a fabulous meal. Then this asshole makes a big stink over his bill. What happened was he was given one of last year's menus. So this asshole is making a scene because he's been overcharged. The waitress explains that menu he got was last year's menu, it should of been thrown out with the rest of them. The waitress apologized, and said the pub would only charge him last years price, a whole $1.50 difference. That's not good enough, he continues to make a scene even after the pub acknowledges the mistake. Management was great. They told him his meal was on the house, but he wouldn't be welcome back in the future. Some people are just real pieces of shit. What I laughed at, was my 90 year old mother saying, "someone should give him a beating." Mom grew up during the depression, so this fuckin goof wasn't getting any sympathy from my Mom. Mother was a nurse, a no nonsense tough lady.

This is really interesting, I had no clue about the Army CST. This video is a woman that was attached to SEAL team 6. 1. Army Cultural Support Teams (CST) Cultural Support Teams (CSTs) were specialized, all-female teams created by U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) to support special operations forces in Afghanistan. Purpose: Because cultural norms in Afghanistan prohibited male soldiers from interacting with local women, female CST members were deployed to engage with the female population, conduct village stability operations (VSO), gather information, and assist in medical outreach. Role: While not originally intended for direct combat, they operated "outside the wire," frequently faced intense personal risk, engaged in firefights, and were targeted by insurgents. Training & Selection: Members underwent intense, 5-6 week selection and training focusing on mental and physical fortitude, cultural, and language skills.

The dogs were left alone today for 5 hours the first time after 2 days, couldnt be happier, no dramas at all. I have been fortunate to have well socialised dogs. When Hoover used to let himself in the back door, my dogs didnt bat an eyelid which I found odd. So relaxed I suppose nothing bothered them. "that dog from over the road is on my couch, oh well must be allowed to be there"

I see now there is no length of service on the enlistment certificate down here now. Just says "until such time is lawfully terminated". Thats not such a bad thing, because the old Cert used to have a gap between " a period of........Years. And a Clerk would type in three or four or seven for the Navy, on a Typewriter so it looks like shit. Might have been an old Typewriter, dirty Key, not dead level hard press and soft, terrible really on such an important document.

People who have not served say enlisting means nothing. We had a kid killed as a Recruit after 2 weeks, so it does mean a lot.

It seems to me they do not have access to the Govt database....I should make myself a Brigadier. They dont know shit it seems.

Applicants should bear in mind that provision of a Certificate of Service is a labour intensive process and requires searches of several data bases such as Honours and Awards. In addition, the transfer of service details from NPEMS to PMKeys has in some cases resulted in information discrepancies and there could be a need for applicants to liaise directly with the Personnel Agency. This may be time-consuming and applicants should be prepared to exercise patience during the processing of their request.

When I was in the Reserves, you got an Enlistment Certificate, but Discharge Certificate you had to apply for. Its always been that way starting with the Army in WW1. Discharge certificates had to be applied for. Im thinking British thinking, well youre expected to do your Duty, a Certificate will take a lot of work, do you really need one old boy? cant your CO give you a reference?
People faking service wasnt considered.

We have no DD214 equivalent as far as I know, nothing so detailed that would be handed out.
