Thank god it's gotten a lot better since the Vietnam era. May it never repeat that.

I am honored to say we that hire veterans from the local VA and they are tremendous members of our team. I am proud to work with these guys and thankful for the great contributions they bring to our company.

I give a lot to these men and women. Not a day has gone by since my cousin has come back from Iraq and officially after 23 years an e7 or e8?? Army Ranger, have I not regretted serving my country. But I sure appreciate all of you bad asses who kept me free, and just paying my taxes was plenty, but I sure wish I could have did so much more!!! That's why I give to these organizations today. I'll never stop, grateful is an understatement to all these folks! All of you folks. Thanks beyond thanks. You are all more appreciated than you could ever imagine at least through these eyes! The eyes of a civi! LAZ

Twice now I have called the local VA office to get a list of veterans to send out job announcements for our company in the San Luis Obispo, CA area, and twice now I have heard nothing from them.
These were good paying jobs and ultimately I had to advertise on CR.
Doesn't seem to me that veterans are getting the support they deserve.

Warfighters are heroes. Wounded warfighters are a special breed of heroes.
As a sidenote: Back in my day, I never even heard about any female wounded warriors. There was a female journalist who got killed and it stunned all of us. I can't imagine the pain of policing up wounded and dead American women. Am I a sexist? You bet your ass I am!
