So back to roofing this job may seem awful but its nice because your not high up off the ground I wanted to go over a few things. At the end of winter beginning of spring we would get a ton of taps and everything you could think of to make our jobs much easier.

Now as time progressed these items would end up destroyed of missing especially caulk guns they would always go missing along with the caulk. My dad had a warehouse filled with material we hardly had to go to a store we didnt use a Lowes or Home Depot.

Around here it was John H. Myers Building Supplies. There was no Lowes or Home Depot in the 1980s that would had been a disaster..... With that said with Dons equipment yeah that sure could help picking everything up thats not recycled and trashing it with that small bucket would be nice.

So you chose white vinyl siding with the black windows and the casings done in black metal as well. I will have to see this when its finished Im sure it will look great. I figured brown vinyl siding right away. Im so used to seeing Brown vinyl siding that I never would had thought of black. Well i'm sure your heating bill will go down in the summer Im surprised you haven't gone solar and made the home totally off grid if needed that would be a massive selling point.

I liked what you said about your dad making the home look like a log cabin that must had looked awesome compared to other homes. Now I think what would your home look like as a log cabin ?? To late now I want to see this white and black combo Diane probably ready all those magazines about homes and what's new things like that .

What a job this is it reminds me of working summers for my dad while he was alive and I was in High School. Of course I always got to clean up the ground. He was a roofing window and siding contractor in my hometown and well known . Not days you have fly by night roofers one thing you certainly make sure when you get a roof that you ask for proof of insurance because an injury on your property can be a nightmare because the contractors these days dont carry insurance. Most of the guys cant even spell their names in el=English this is the difference in keeping your home and losing it in some cases and your bank account. Workmans Compensation is extremely expensive for roofers these days I recall when my parents were spending 30 grand per year on Workmans Comp and that was in the 1990s This reminds me of good times with my dad his workers we used to have fund but go nuts at the same time. Nice to have an owner like Don with all the gadgets to help make the job much easier.
