I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I don't have to go to school or work.
I get an allowance every month. I have my own pad. I don't have a curfew. I have a driver's license and my own car.
The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant and I don't have acne. Life is great.
I changed my car horn to gunshot sounds. People get out of the way much faster now.
Gone are the days when girls used to cook like their mothers. Now they drink like their fathers.
I didn't make it to the gym today. That makes five years in a row.
I decided to stop calling the bathroom "John" and renamed it the "Jim". I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
Old age is coming at a really bad time.
When I was a child I thought "nap time" was a punishment. Now it feels like a small vacation.
The biggest lie I tell myself is... " I don't have to write that down, I'll remember it".
I don't have gray hair... I have "wisdom highlights"! I'm just very wise.

I created 5 spouts through windrows 4 foot high and 8 foot wide to allow foot traffic to travel without 1/2 block detours .

Trail Cameras : Deer Missing Back Strap😔

After the event when we thought someone came into our house. We installed a Ring camera. So far we had to adjust the area where it picked up movement because every car set it off. As you know, we are rural so it was mostly deliveries but still annoying. But dammed if a fucking squirrel isn't setting it off now. We are going to add the Ring Flood light to the driveway but we have all manner of animals walking around. I don't think I will ever sleep.

35 Rem great deer rifle for a youngster. Although there is no such animal as a brush gun, other than a shotgun. Wouldn't let my youngsters have any older lever guns because of the safety. Now days they have crossbolt safetys in them. Still not much good for anything other than deer hunting.

Nice series Don. Been enjoying the stories. Ironic my buddy Sargent Lappe who was hunting with me shoots a 35. Took a shot at the range just to check his zero. He's been hunting with that rifle for 40 years. Years ago we rolled up on a pack of hogs in his vehicle. Jumped out and he said grab the 35. I thumped a hog about 80 yards freehand. 200 gr. Hard hitter, mild recoil. Your Son has a good Ol Man. I passed on the same ethics and love of the outdoors to my daughter who still loves to hunt with me. Hope Everyone is enjoying their evening.
