I was a Fire Department Cadet my senior year of high school, the word went out to find one of our own, Ron DeYoung before he heard the news, his sister was on that flight. Some of the other guys found him and took him home. A sad day for the family and the Department.
It's Friday. Mom is working all weekend at the hospital, looks like we're hanging with Hef for the weekend. We decided to cut school today and put in a half-day at work with Hef, Hef loves Friday. Now that we have the DeLorean on steroids, after we had to make a second visit to Mudd to get the true refined dilithium crystals, after he tried to pull a fast one on us. Big mistake on his part, I'm sure his bum is still sore, but I digress. Back to our half-day working with Hef. Hef didn't have a set agenda for the day, so we presented a little proposal to him. We told him we wanted to take the DeLorean back to Sparta, 489 BC. Offer King Leonidas a sweet HVAC unit. Hef was concerned about disturbing the space time continuum, but when we explained to Hef our payment would be in gold and diamonds, the Prime Directive went out the window. Hef insisted that he come with us to make sure everything was done right. The DeLorean got us back to Sparta, no problem. King Leonidas's first reaction was to have us killed. Luckily for us we were able to sell him on huge HVAC unit. We told him how we could make those hot sweaty orgies so much more enjoyable, he was sold. Leonidas was no fool, he recognized right away that Hef was the adult and the real threat amongst the group. It's like he knew Hef had a military background. Leonidas wasn't letting Hef out of his site, so we alone were tasked with the install of the new HVAC unit. Leonidas explained to Hef that there would be no customer complaint line, there would be no satisfaction surveys. It was all or nothing, and Hef would souly alone be on the hot seat for the install. Fortunately for Hef he taught us well, where to cut corners, where not to cut corners. Hef's very existence was on the line. We rose to the occasion; we demonstrated that we weren't just a bunch of bad apples. I'll admit we have been lazy, and we've been called crazy. In our time, we've played and played, but we can get down and quit foolin' around. When the weather gets rough, the situation gets tough. At the end of it all, Leonidas was very happy and allowed us to return home unharmed. Hef was very relieved to be back home; the DeLorean got us back at noon Friday. Hef took a deep, relieved breath and said it was beer time. He also said that in the future, he wouldn't be accompanying us in the DeLorean anymore. Something about he doesn't keep a dog and do his own barking—that wasn't what bothered us the most; it was that Hef said he'd be keeping the gold and diamonds for safekeeping. Just like the Burger King job, we got screwed again. Oh well, at least he paid for the pitchers of beer and the wings. That's okay, when Hef hits the rack later tonight, we're going to be taking his ride for a nice long booze cruise/puff tour...
Sandy Stone was invented by Barry Humphries to see how bored an audience could become before it walked out. It amused him. Sandy is an old incontinent man in a dressing gown with a hot water bottle. He starts at 3:50, sleep well.
An identified US P8 Poseidon was doing laps here all morning, just 8 miles too far south for me to see. You can see where they were hand flying. Unusual for ours to be up this way let alone yours. Maybe a sight seeing tour, be nice if it was. Could be a new one just delivered to the RAAF.

My biological mother had a tradition where she'll throw all of us infant kids in the snow, sprinkle it on our faces, leave us there until we started screaming then picked us out of it and did that everyday and night until we were about one year old to get us used to the cold. My cousin who just had her baby was complaining that her baby keeps screaming because it was too cold. I laughed and told her what my mother used to do then showed her the coldest day of the week. She said that my mother should've been reported because that could have kill us. Was America always this soft? 😂😂😂😂
