I live in California and rescued a baby red headed woodpecker (Peckerhead.) Reminds me a lot of your Jay. I also have killer cats. Peckerhead loved to ride on the back of the dogs. It only took one meet and greet with the cats for them to realize this bird was different. It got to the point that Peckerhead would land on a cats head, give it a hard peck and then fly away (they hated it.)

While I was waiting for the Waambulance the same clown was rotating an excavator round and round like a toy and bits flew off one went into a huge building and it exploded with blue flames and smoke and then the whole building came crashing down floor by floor thump thump while someone in the background was yelling "27 years Ive put up with this shit you idiots" and I was in a basement dodging debris made it out and was directing fire trucks then I woke up. It was a beauty pity it ended.
