Senior Chief, regarding the Southwest Asia Service Medal: a single campaign star is technically correct, though it is often omitted from older SWA records, as the attachment criteria has been modified. At some point (I cannot recall which year), all branches modified their awards systems so that one campaign star is awarded for each campaign served. This applies to Southwest Asia, Iraq, Afghanistan, and newer campaigns. I don't know if it's retroactive to Vietnam. Campaign stars do not denote subsequent deployments as they do on expeditionary medals. The SWASM is now worn with a minimum of one campaign star (no more slick ribbon displays), but it can be worn with a maximum of three stars (denoting all three major Gulf War campaigns) even if the individual deployed more than four times from 1990-1995. SWA Veterans would have to write The National Personnel Records Center or perhaps the Board for Correction of [Military] Records to have their campaign star(s) added/corrected. I'm pretty sure the NPRC can correct campaign stars with supporting documents, without having to engage the BC[M]R. If I recall correctly (it has been a mighty long time) the BC[M]R usually handles taller orders like requesting evaluation for initial medal awards that might have been overlooked.

Don you ever hear the term FOMO? It stands for "fear of missing out." With a lot of these phonies along with the guy you helped me out with, I'd say that is their biggest issue. Aside from the ones that get discharged for being a Schmuckatelli, the ones that had short service need something to compensate for them feeling inferior for not feeling like they contributed. It's a shame because if you stood up and answered the call, you're a patriot and no one can take that away from you. And when you lie, all you do is tarnish your own service as well as everyone elses.

before I met my husband I was living off $880 a month and on $100 a month in EBT. During Covid they kept dumping money on my card and it was way more than what I spent so after Covid they dropped it to $87 and my dad was with me at DHHS talking on my behalf and they wouldn't raise it because a ton of people got on EBT during covid and they needed funds. We did NOT act like this even though we were pissed.

The FAA has no record of him as a Pilot. He has lied and conned his way into peoples hearts using the name Doolittle and those people have donated him things.
Hes a scrounger who lives in a fantasy land where he is a Jet Pilot. Telling people he was a SEAL helped get him over the line when he was begging/stealing artifacts.
Anyone in the Military Aircraft community leaves a huge trail everywhere they go.
They being Alpha types love the attention.
He has left not one track. Its all in his mind.

Great video Senior, thanks for the follow-up from the first video. Nice to see this guy face the music. I really enjoyed the detailed explanation of the awards, you have good eye for that. I always enjoy those teaching moments that you do so often on many different things. I would of thoroughly enjoyed you being one of my teachers in school, you would of been a good one. Even without the Phony SEAL stuff my BS meter would be pegged about all the Doolittle raid guys and them being his "mentors" so he's carrying on their legacy. 

It's possible he met somebody, shook hands with a bunch at some event he went out of his way to attend or even struck up a personal relationship with a guy in town and met more guys.
The whole story the way he tells it is pretty much "no way!". 

As far as the real significance of any stuff he has it's hard to say.
Most likely guys are getting carried away and being suckered into the idea he is really is "holding on to history". 

Things like old aircraft parts really do become private property and if it's his it's his.
Ebay has been around for about 30 years and other traditional places to buy things have always been there.
That stuff has been showing up at garage and estate sales, people don't know what it really is, what it's worth to collectors and if there is really any history there. 

Anyone can get an old WWII bomber jacket and say it was worn on the Doolittle raid or get a German Army helmet and say it was at Stalingrad.
