Sciatic? Lie on your side, sore side up, and curl your knees as close to your chest as you can. maintain that position until you feel easement of pain. Worked for me
.

Keep up the great work Don and D

get that MRI soon, If a disk is impinging a nerve root, it can begin to cost you permanent loss of strength if not dealt with. However, they say that 90% of all bulges or herniations "resolve themselves" within about 6 weeks. Might want to get MRI before that and wait and see if it resolves on its own (by far and away the best outcome). Might not be herniation but it sounds like that. I had one in C-4/5. C is different than L, but the basics are the same. Good luck Senior and get checked out by a (board certified) neurosurgeon - not just a neurologist. They should have some good ones in D.C. area and Va Beach. I really hope all goes well so you can keep being productive and happy in your retirement.

My disc ruptured and have to have a Laminectomy of the Disc. It takes several years to recover depending on the situation. You should seek epidurals they help till u need surgery. I had the same identical thing happen it only gets worse you have a bulging Lumbar Disc. Get a good Dr in Norfolk a Specialist. You need a MRI to se whats really going on if your legs numb its Lumbar Spine or LS.
