been on Tricare for life about 20 years now. Got cancer 5 years ago and glad I re-upped (regular and NG) until I went past 20, as some of my medical bills were insane..... current diabetes and cancer related meds cost $0. Other than my wife, best investment of time I ever made....

Update: Last Wednesday evening/Thursday's super early morning, I woke up in the local ER, naked, and being iced down, unable to speak as I had a 105.6 fever, and had gone into seizures, so my wife called 911 and I was taken to the local ER, stabilized, and taken to West Roxbury VA. By the time I arrived at the VA, my temperature was down to 103.5, and the next day down to 100-101, where it hovered for several days. Both hospitals loaded me up with a range of IV antibiotics. Six different IV antibiotics, super high white blood cell count, super high lactic acid levels, so I was given bicarb in IV form. Source is believed to be a septic infection in my lungs, swabs were taken, probes performed, and after close to a week inpatient, they decided to send me home on oral antibiotics. At home, stable, VNA each day, knocked down, but still fighting.

Vent: I don't want to go too deep but my mother has shamed me and made fun of the fact that I still need help going to the bathroom as an adult because autism sucks. She had a bunch of friends over and we came over as well because we need to let some guy in at 9 am to inspect the roof. When we were house sitting my husband for got to take something to the trash bin outside after I had a seizure and my mom came home from work, found it and lost her ever loving fucking shit about it. So when we were leaving my mom just screams out the door in front of her friends, I'm not gonna find any (blank) in the bathroom am I?! I burst into tears because it was so embarrassing and my husband told her that was extremely inappropriate and if she did that to one of her patients he would've made sure her ass was fired. My mom is probably having a laugh with her friends right now while I'm completely mordified to show my face around them. I'm so hurt, embarrassed, pissed off and mortified that my mother did that.

Can Ashton reupholster things using leather? Maybe put a design into it. If so I have all of my boat seats I’ve taken out of my boat that needs to be done. I’ve contacted SeaRay and they won’t fix them, I’ve gone online to get replacement seating and it’s like $16,000. I was to reupholster all the seats but then get a really nice piece of redwood or something big and use one 1 and 1/2 inch cut and fashion the whole back deck as a nice polished piece of wood. That way it looks amazing I think ( in my head it does) people can lay on it still comfortably and when people get in the boat from the water they aren’t standing on my leather back deck dripping water into the cracks and ruining it. I just took completely apart and redid with new upgraded parts the upper and lower units (engine). My papa bought me this boat before he passed. I was driving from California to my first in little creek and I stopped at home just outside nashville for a couple of days and I had just gotten out of training and was in incredible shape and I wanted to go slolom skiing which I did competitively in high school before I joined the navy. So my next door neighbor has a ski boat and I ask them if he wouldn’t mind taking me skiing for a couple minutes because I had to leave super early the next day and he told me “sure, we are getting ready still so meat us down at the boat dock in an hour” so I went and got my custom slolom ski out of my closet and cleaned and polished it, found the rest of my gear and tested it and then I look down at the lake and they are in the boat dock so I go walking out the back door down to my neighbors dock and my papa who was in the upstairs porch yelled down and asked what I was doing. I told him and he said have fun. As I’m walking to the boat dock my neighbor sees me and hurries everyone on the boat and leaves. As I get to the dock they are pulling away. So I say a few choice words and begin walking back up to the house. My papa sees me and asks what’s going on, I told him the neighbor said he would take me skiing since I have to leave early in the morning and they left me as I got down there so I know they saw me. My papa just apologized and told me he was proud of me. So I get over it pretty quickly and I’m inside watching Rudy with my papa for the 19374929473 time haha. Then I go to bed so I could drive the rest of the way the next day. I woke up the next morning and my papa asked if I could stay one more day and I really wanted to get to little creek a couple days before I had to report sk j could get the lay of the land, unpack a little and get situated but my papa convinced me. Here in a few hours he calls me and tells me to come outside and so I did and all of a sudden my papa pulls into the yard with a new 2012 SeaRay 280 Sundeck. I shit myself lol. My papa comes around the truck and gives me a big hug and tells me how ground he is of me and that as long as he’s alive I always have someone that has my back and he made damn sure I would never be left standing at the bank again, my papa raised me and was my father. We lost him in 2018. I’ve been on multiple combat deployments, been through some of the craziest training, had an unfaithful wife who was sleeping with every ship faring sailor she could while I was a deployed to the Middle East and also while I was having surgeries to fix me from getting hurt on my 2nd deployment. And I won’t even get into my childhood and still losing my papa was the hardest thing g I’ve ever had to go through
