Enough precipitation, good fertilizer and a pro cut with a sharp blade! The perfect storm. Enjoy the morning…..
We got an early start today; the early bird gets the worm. Our neighbor down the street, Mr. Bardon, is having a yard sale. Mom always told us he was crazier than a shit house rat. Looks like she was right, his family is having him committed and selling off all his possessions. His family was too cheap to go the auction route, so they're having a yard sale. We allocated funds from our allowance for just such an occasion; however, Mom was still sleeping one off, and she left her purse on the table. We cleaned our room earlier, so that's got to be worth $20, so we didn't think Mom would notice if we lifted $20 from her purse. We got back home later and showed Mom what we picked up for Hef. She was so proud of us for thinking about Hef, and she also noticed we cleaned our room. She went into her purse and gave us $20 for our effort. She was so happy to give us the money we didn't have the heart to tell her we already lifted $20 off her. When we presented Hef with our find he was so grateful and appreciative. It was beer and cigarettes all around, what a wonderful neighbor.
Made it to Missouri. KC is a pit. Thanks for the advice Chu, we blew right past there and the freeway construction mess. Ate at a hole in the wall place called Bates City BBQ. MrsNH and I split the sampler plate for 30 bucks plus fries a coleslaw . Kids had ribs, a pulled pork sandwich and fries. Plus 4 drinks all for 70 bucks. There is enough left from the sampler that she and I can have another dinner. Good grief that was cheap. It felt like before Biden drove inflation through the roof.

Took a short cut thru the northside of Belle Fourche to avoid the traffic during sturgis. Money is in short supply there and livin is hard. I come around a sharp bend and i barely see 2 boys and a table, I have a plan before i stop in front of them leaving my horse runnin. I ask the boys to pour me one of their best, kid is maybe 7 or 8yrs old. I can feel its warm and tastes like brake fluid. I tell the boyz they probably saved my life as i was dying of thirst. I put a ten spot on the table and told them that was for their effort, ya get nothin if you dont try. "See ya later Brothers, best of luck". Did a short burnout for them, that put big smiles on their faces.

Two weeks ago, we lost a kitten, which my wife found stone dead one morning, leaving us with one semi-alive kitten and one very sick cat. I had been out of town on business for a few weeks, and upon my return home, I saw my wife, the cats, and under 3 minutes were out the door. AT the veterinary emergency room, I paid over $3800 for blood transfusions and a couple of overnights for the felines, and then got my wife to the human ER for a few hours, then $800 to an exterminator (for a huge fucking indoor flea infestation), followed by over 1400 pounds of laundry as we had to strip and wash everything. ($4800 to the veterinarian ER, and the exterminator).Followup treatment will be roughly $1200, so this works out to be a $6000 unexpected expense.
The first kitten died due to flea anemia, the second was within minutes of death, the adult cat was in tough shape, but the kittens bore the brunt of most of it.
Several weeks proper, she has taken the kittens in to get their first shots and flea/worm treatment, and the first kitten died 17 days later, infested with fleas, and a million bites, more or less, in a pool of its blood.
Wife is sick and on strong antibiotics, has thousands of open bites on her legs. Wife has improved medically, the older cat has improved, and the kitten (the one still alive) is improving.
Flea population is way, way down in most of the house. The source has been discovered to be the front yard, which the exterminator addressed, but which is still swarming with fleas and ticks.
Yukie is a nasty mess ugh. Best of luck with the move Senior and Diane sad to see Warrior’s Rest go you guys turned that place into an oasis truly a beautiful property inside and out. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Wanted to share this yesterday. Went on a boat excursion by the cliffs. It was sloppy and a pretty good sea. I noticed a middle aged Japanese fella turning green not far into the trip. Godzilla was alive and well in his stomach. He fetched up and chummed the water and the the mates helped him law crawl to the head blowing chunks the whole way. She said I feel so bad for him. Did not join cause my brother told me he had it under control and I needed to take care of our parents. I think 🤔 he was right they did kind of fluff the training. Made it to Missouri. KC is a pit. Thanks for the advice Chu, we blew right past there and the freeway construction mess. Ate at a hole in the wall place called Bates City BBQ. MrsNH and I split the sampler plate for 30 bucks plus fries a coleslaw . Kids had ribs, a pulled pork sandwich and fries. Plus 4 drinks all for 70 bucks. There is enough left from the sampler that she and I can have another dinner. Good grief that was cheap. It felt like before Biden drove inflation through the roof.

Took a short cut thru the northside of Belle Fourche to avoid the traffic during sturgis. Money is in short supply there and livin is hard. I come around a sharp bend and i barely see 2 boys and a table, I have a plan before i stop in front of them leaving my horse runnin. I ask the boys to pour me one of their best, kid is maybe 7 or 8yrs old. I can feel its warm and tastes like brake fluid. I tell the boyz they probably saved my life as i was dying of thirst. I put a ten spot on the table and told them that was for their effort, ya get nothin if you dont try. "See ya later Brothers, best of luck". Did a short burnout for them, that put big smiles on their faces.

Two weeks ago, we lost a kitten, which my wife found stone dead one morning, leaving us with one semi-alive kitten and one very sick cat. I had been out of town on business for a few weeks, and upon my return home, I saw my wife, the cats, and under 3 minutes were out the door. AT the veterinary emergency room, I paid over $3800 for blood transfusions and a couple of overnights for the felines, and then got my wife to the human ER for a few hours, then $800 to an exterminator (for a huge fucking indoor flea infestation), followed by over 1400 pounds of laundry as we had to strip and wash everything. ($4800 to the veterinarian ER, and the exterminator).Followup treatment will be roughly $1200, so this works out to be a $6000 unexpected expense.
The first kitten died due to flea anemia, the second was within minutes of death, the adult cat was in tough shape, but the kittens bore the brunt of most of it.
Several weeks proper, she has taken the kittens in to get their first shots and flea/worm treatment, and the first kitten died 17 days later, infested with fleas, and a million bites, more or less, in a pool of its blood.
Wife is sick and on strong antibiotics, has thousands of open bites on her legs. Wife has improved medically, the older cat has improved, and the kitten (the one still alive) is improving.
Flea population is way, way down in most of the house. The source has been discovered to be the front yard, which the exterminator addressed, but which is still swarming with fleas and ticks.

Wanted to share this yesterday. Went on a boat excursion by the cliffs. It was sloppy and a pretty good sea. I noticed a middle aged Japanese fella turning green not far into the trip. Godzilla was alive and well in his stomach. He fetched up and chummed the water and the the mates helped him law crawl to the head blowing chunks the whole way. She said I feel so bad for him. I said I wish I had my camera with extended lenses and took every angle of pics by the thousands. She said what the hell is wrong with you? You're fucked up. I said naaaa he would understand...

Just wanted to share my wall of honor. My family has fought in every war but the civil war. Cause all of them where to old or young at the time.I was surrounded by vets growing up. Did not join cause my brother told me he had it under control and I needed to take care of our parents. I think 🤔 he was right they did kind of fluff the training. Definitely not what he went through in 1986. Still sometimes I wonder where I would have been if I joined. Oh well I am a PFC Privet Fuckin Citizen. It ain't to bad lol.

Don dont beat yourself up, if the place wasnt as good as it it, there would not have been an offer. The bird can be moved, you know that, its not the first bird thats moved house. The reason why you cover the fucking cage with a black cloth is so that it cant see. If it can see out, it can see its moving, so wants to fly, so goes nuts as it does not understand its in a car.
If you leave it it will die of stress anyway, they are sposed to be in family groups, you are its family, it will watch you leave and watch new people come and it will sit on the window sill looking in at the new people and slowly starve itself, pluck out all its feathers and sit under a bush and die of a broken heart, its last thought will be where are my mommy and daddy, why did they desert me.

Did I miss something here? I’m a member of this wonderful group of goof offs that share our internet lives. Our community of veterans and volunteers share the common respect of being Patriots those that love this place we call America. Don and Diane have been our host that brings us all together by sharing their lives and experiences Is this all going to end? I miss a few of the posts now and then I’ve been around for sometime maybe 10 years is this a goodbye and farewell.
