There's so much pain in your eyes, Don. When dealing with phonies there's a sharp and dominant look, almost joyful, when you know you're about to retire a clown. I hope you know Art got what he wanted from you. The interaction that gave small breaks from what haunted him. Don't let it hammer you down bro.

For 24 years a local doctor and I were buddies. He'd finish early and drop by and hang out in my office. The last time he texted me about coming, I told him it was a busy day and I would not have much time to talk; he replied: "Its good to be busy. Next time." He died unexpectedly 10 days later. Busy or not, I wish I'd said "Sure Doc, come on over!" I get it. It sucks. Art knew you loved him. He knew that he mattered to you and your wife; and that probably meant way more to him than you'd believe. Don't sweat not taking the call. You know thats what he'd say to you. My wife and I are approaching 35 years. If I lost her I'd be lost. Completely and absolutely.

A 4 year old boy has vanished up the highway, playing in the sand one minute gone the next. Very strange, theres nothing and no one out there. Must have fallen down a hole, hes not in any of the dams it seems, the alternative is too horrible to comprehend,.

Had a great Birthday celebration with the Grandson Pheonix yesterday!!!The light in a 5 year olds eyes does the soul good!! Don's at the dentist this morning and I'm hangin curtains....never had the need for curtains in Maryland. Eighty acres of privacy had us spoiled. Rain for the next 5 days will keep us inside with the pups!!! Thank you for all the patience and support through this final journey of ours!! We love you all!! Diane
