speakin of Canada and 18 YO drinkin age... as far as I know, BC (Vancouver) is 18 yo drinkin age, or at least back in 93! I had just transferred from Ft Ord, CA to Ft Lewis, WA in Jan 93, heard a rumor drinkin age was 18 in BC, so 1 mornin (probably still half drunk) I woke up 1 of the new COHORT Privates that I liked, he was just a good ol' country boy from TN (die hard VOLS fan). Sean Self woke his passed out ass up, told him we were goin to Vancouver! (whats in Vancouver, Dave?) FUCK IF I KNOW SEAN! but legal drinkin age is 18 and I aint never been to Canada!! getcha goat smellin ass up and lets roll! so yeah, we hopped in my Mustang and rolled to the border where the guards had our country dumbasses 10 feet, excuse me 3 fuckin meters, in front of my car while they went through everything, bastards even used mirrors and only thing they found was my 2 cartons of Marlboro Reds (Pay day!). seems you're only allowed 10 packs of cigs per person to cross the border, told guards 1 carton was Sean's other mine (we both had a pack of cigs in our pocket but they allowed it since they were opened) anyways, we get to Vancouver, no clue what the fuck we're doin, found a nasty ass McDonalds (worst fast food brand of all time!) and fukkas beggin cigs off us! at the time, carton of Marlboros were $18 at PX, in Canada, (where Marlboros didnt exist!!) we found out whatever brand of Nadian cigs costs $5.50 at bars ($5.00 at grocery stores). then Sean found a pay phone. lol, Sean didnt fall off the turnip truck so to say, but Im pretty sure he came close, great guy! but he HAD to call his Momma and tell her he was in Canada! Momma, you'll never guess where I am! lol of course, I had to call my Momma and tell her too... lol then we were told Grandview (or Grandville??) Street was the place to be! so we hopped back in my Mustang, found the road and NO PARKING! oh hell, here's a spot on the road in front the 1st bar! SNAGGED IT! the night of drinking commenced! door to door titty bars! Nadian Strippers saw our 'Merican money, fell in love (or whatever, lol). I remember the bars havin beer prices and imports were like $1 more expensive--I aint drinkin imports, gimme my BUD LONG NECKS!! yeah, probably the 2nd bar, I realized BUD was an import up yonder... so I switched to MOLSONS ICE (wheww! the skunky smell, but drank the shit outta em!!) and LaBatts Blue (GREAT beer!). after however many bars, we headed back to my Mustang, only my Mustang was GONE! sumbitchs stoled my car!!! went into the bar we started at, asked beer wench how to report my car was stoled! showed her where I parked and all... that was 1st time I found out about TAXI ONLY parking spot... so we found out where the police impound yard was, walked down however far to it, paid like $25 to get it outta impound and back to the bars we went! hey, cops evidently didnt think we were too drunk to drive; they let us bail my car outta jail... but this time, we paid for parking! lol gas was like 29 cents! FUCK YEAH DUDE! Sean, your ass is paying for gas back to post! cocksuckers! we found out Canada sells by the LITER not GALLON! lol great trip though!

All these old beer commercials...
Back in the day,(1988) the drinking age on the Quebec side was 18. We use to pile into the car and go over the Hull bridge to the Lito, it was a strip club. We'd drink all night, watching the ladies perform. One night at close all hell broke loose on the street outside the club. People fighting everywhere, we wanted to get closer to watch the scraps. Well we got close enough that we got tossed into the Paddy Wagon with the rest of the combatants. The police were just grabbing anyone and everyone close to the action. I remember calling my dad to come and get us. My dad said no problem Greg, I'll be there sometime tomorrow morning. I guess he thought a night in the drunk tank would be a lesson learned. Me and my friends never slept a wink, lesson learned. Needless to say my mother wasn't one bit impressed.
I can't even imagine what Don and Diane go through with these stories. I'm not a social media person. Repeat I'm not a social media person. I'm luck to check email once a month. I really don't like technology as I can't seem to keep up with it. I'm so glad for Don and Diane and what they do for the military and veterans. A military spouse serves as well. My wife and I are about to celebrate 20 years of marriage on April 8th. I was going to say some other things but I just can't find the words. We were married at the chapel at Camp Atterbury, IN on April 8th, 2003. 3 days later I was on a plane going to serve in Kuwait/Iraq for a year. I'm sorry I don't share much about myself. But I do love the military and being a veteran. I especially love this woman who has been able to keep up with me everything that came with wearing that uniform. Keep up the great work Don and Diane! Hoping this little bit of good news can cheer some up!

I found a couple of old shotty shells marked Browning 12. Brass and dark red, plastic crimped end. Im guessing 70s as I seem to remember paper ones in the 60s, I didnt know Browning made ammo. I spose I shall throw them in the bin. I doubt they have any collector value. Thats 4 so far, an old .303 round, a wonderful thing they are. All the Soldiers from WW1,2 and Korea could buy their Lee Enfield .303 at the end of the wars. Every Farmer had one, as they good for shooting Roos and Bulls and Crocs and so on. An old .22 as well, I am sure there are more around the place, 150 years old now, so lots of use.
The finished product…….. yummy! That Traeger cooked the bacon and eggs real well. Flat grill pan over the center of the grates. 325* was a good temp, I love some crispy bacon 👍😆😆 The bread is Brownberry Farms Keto bread toasted, Tina has to watch her sugar. Very delicious. Patting myself on the back 😯😯

RIP, Mike--good god, what a sad story--I can relate to a tiny bit of what Mike went through emotionally--I was suicidal twice, diagnosed with PTSD, spent 9 yrs in therapy peeling the onion to get at my demons--watched my mother, father, sister, brother and daughter drink themselves to death, spent 30 yrs like the dead guy in George Jones "He stopped loving her today" pining over my dear Bonnie--the good news is I got sober (44 yrs) and got her back all the way from California to St Louis after 30 yrs (1959 to 1989)--we've been married 31 yrs--the Good Lord has truly blessed me--love you guys. I hope Don's barn is ready for Chuck's white glove inspection Tuesday morning--5:00 AM
I watch this with very mixed feelings. I'm filled with pride that our country still produces badasses that go above and beyond the norm. Yet while I watch this my TV is playing in the background and I'm watching how our judicial system has been corrupted enough to prosecute an ex president on political charges.All while the whole country knows there are people on the other side that should be prosecuted just as vigorously. I'm still pro America but it's getting really hard to sustain my feelings.How do you tell a young man or woman they have a debt to pay to keep our country free,and it may require you pay with your life. And if you try to bring attention to the corrupt things going on you may have to go to jail and spend your life savings on a lawyer, to be exonerated for speaking up about the injustice. Is this what they fight and sacrifice for. And they wonder why the services are having trouble finding "NEW MEAT"

RIP, Mike--good god, what a sad story--I can relate to a tiny bit of what Mike went through emotionally--I was suicidal twice, diagnosed with PTSD, spent 9 yrs in therapy peeling the onion to get at my demons--watched my mother, father, sister, brother and daughter drink themselves to death, spent 30 yrs like the dead guy in George Jones "He stopped loving her today" pining over my dear Bonnie--the good news is I got sober (44 yrs) and got her back all the way from California to St Louis after 30 yrs (1959 to 1989)--we've been married 31 yrs--the Good Lord has truly blessed me--love you guys.
I hope Don's barn is ready for Chuck's white glove inspection Tuesday morning--5:00 AM

I watch this with very mixed feelings. I'm filled with pride that our country still produces badasses that go above and beyond the norm. Yet while I watch this my TV is playing in the background and I'm watching how our judicial system has been corrupted enough to prosecute an ex president on political charges.All while the whole country knows there are people on the other side that should be prosecuted just as vigorously. I'm still pro America but it's getting really hard to sustain my feelings.How do you tell a young man or woman they have a debt to pay to keep our country free,and it may require you pay with your life. And if you try to bring attention to the corrupt things going on you may have to go to jail and spend your life savings on a lawyer, to be exonerated for speaking up about the injustice. Is this what they fight and sacrifice for. And they wonder why the services are having trouble finding "NEW MEAT"
