Spending a rare day at home. I went to the office for a few hours early this morning, but decided on a day mostly off. I’m watching “Men of Honor,” and something occurs to me that I think most people never consider. Nothing against the SEALS, but these deep sea divers have GOT to be the bravest people in the service. Think about how we celebrate Astronauts? How much more dangerous is their job than deep diving? Forced to operate in a suit that isolates them completely from the environment in which they are working because it’s THAT hostile; every second they operate everything they are doing, and the place in which they are doing it, is all trying constantly to kill them. MAYBE being an astronaut is “more dangerous than deep sea diving, but I’d sure as hell not want to live on the difference. One thing is certain, I’m not cut out for either one. No wonder they have to wear the weight belt; their balls are so big they’d never get below the surface.

Just getting caught up on videos after a bit of a hiatus. Jeez Louise what is with the CTs claiming SEALs all of a sudden? I was with NAVSECGRU (Naval Security Group) and all I did was watch MOVIES about the SEALs. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten winded just filling out the application forms to go to BUD/S, I knew I didn't have the physical background for it.
You're right, Senior, NOBODY graduates BUD/S and gets sent to NAVSECGRU. We CTIs go from Great Lakes to DEFLANGINST Monterey to NTTCD Goodfellow AFB and then to our duty station. And consume a lot of coffee and an appreciation for dark humor and rotating sleep depriving watches in the process.

I just talked to a friend of mine on another site that I belong to and he told me they are catching Dolphin offshore out of Morehead City....IT'S FEBRUARY!!! I have fished the Gulf Stream for almost 50 years and have NEVER EVER NEVER heard of Dolphin this soon. Dolphins usually show up in mid-May.....Something is happening and I don't like it!!! It is very Unfortunate Robin and Chu couldn't cut the mustard in their new rolls. They both just kept accumulating one strike after another. My numerous warnings to them both went unheeded. Senior and I discussed it at length, looking at everything through a microscope. We both came to the conclusion that demotion was the only option we had. Words can't express how disappointed Senior and I are over all of this. Opportunity only knocks once...🍁
