My mother is in her early-mid 90s. She has no signs of adult dementia, good memory and clear reasoning, even her voice sounds like she is still in her 40s or 50s.
She was hospitalized after a fall but she healed from that fairly quickly. She needs a walker more for stability than strength but what got her wasn't the fall. She had problems with her shoulders and those replacements went great, then I think it was 1 hip replacement. She started thinking "just change parts, the doctors are great". Then she thought doing a knee would be easy too and that one didn't work.
We know the next fall or other serious condition will probably mean a nursing home, however my mother is extremely social and will likely adjust well if she finds a friendly crowd. She was in a recovery wing of a place that was also an "old folks home" for her shoulder replacements and all she could do was talk about how nice it was there and now nice everybody was.

Replaced my fuel filler door on my truck. Watched several videos and seemed like a simple job. Old one came out easy enough. New one just didn't want to go in..Any time a video says "You may have to fiddle with it" your in trouble. Standing in the sun was my first mistake. After some well selected vocabulary it finally went in. The wife says I need to work on my vocabulary skills. Just another better idea from FORD.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I think I would have gotten along with her it’s not that I’m antisocial it’s I just don’t like people! We’re all going you know sometimes I don’t like thinking about it. Big Red mom just passed after a long ordeal. She been going absolutely nuts fighting with her sister long story. I brought her down here to the beach so she could shake it off. Went for a long stroll last night big fucking root roo she’s on the couch nursing Bronchitis too much rich food too much sun too much wet clothes late at night. I fucked up my land nav gav by about 3 hours and got us stranded on the beach. Camera was 5 miles away when I needed it MF Made this moon rise with my cell.

So sorry Don but clearly there is a time. We faced that with our mother. Hang in there Bro. Thoughts and prayers with you dude! Nice shotgun! We used to hear 12 gauges 6 or miles along river and still do during duck and goose. So did you keep .410? Very handy for rabbit hunting etc.

Speaking for myself; a parent being in an assisted living facility, allows me to preserve the relationship I want with them. When my parents needed a certain type of care done, the dynamics would have shifted dramatically. The people who work in facilities are amazing and have my praise. I’m sorry to hear about Mum.

Had a 20 over/under for doves. Loved that gun. Gave it to a friends son who loved to hunt doves. He drops off the doves after he hunts. Saves my knees but I still get the meals.
