Codependents often have a hard time separating from narcissists because they each fill eachother's unhealthiest needs. It usually takes a lot of therapy in dealing with separating from a narcissist, but it requires extreme vigilance and persistence in setting boundaries with a narcissist because it will upset them and they will fight back.
