My 50lb english bull female treed a black bear..once she saw him jump over her she took off scared. My 75lb male english bull however took off into the woods with the bear...big bear. 5 minutes later he came back...my condolences

We have no bears or coyotes in the neighborhood (we lived on the outskirts of town almost in the country), but one day a lady was out with her small dog walking it in the neighborhood when a big old hawk swooped down, grabbed up the dog, flew it to the top of a hydro pole and proceeded to pick her dog apart. The poor woman was absolutely traumatized watching in sheer horror. Nature can be cruel.

Oh my…makes me want to go coyote hunting especially knowing what a post coyote event looks like just hours. They lure a dog away as other lie in wait to attack. Cowards! We have coyotes everywhere here in Illinois. They drag geese who get too close to shore. Don get a coyote caller machine and decoy. And a rifle or other appropriate device to destroy these coyotes. Most will use dogs here and the dogs will bring them to the shooters and radios used. I’ve seen most coyotes while Turkey hunting when they attack decoys. The get a face full of Turkey loads!!!! You should sponsor a hunt as I guarantee you you have loads of them around you. Hell they run streets in Chicago!

My wife took this pic about 2 weeks ago in the morning when we let our dog out, about 2 minutes after the heard got spooked out of nowhere and we heard coyotes howling in the distance. If i had to guess they were stalking them. I dont exactly live in the holler we're in Center Twp PA. Senior might know where that is. we dont even let frank off his leash because there are reports of coyotes everywhere. And yes im aware the tree has a 🍆.

Sorry to hear about the pup. Open season here on coyotes. DWR pays $50 a piece for the jawbone, or the scalp with ears. This month two incidents of cougars attacking people. One lady was out deer hunting with a bow. She had no sidearm. Cougar took a swipe at her leg and scratched her up. Another incident two women were out jogging and the cougar bit the one lady on the leg. I live almost where the sidewalk ends. Here is a photo from the kitchen window taken two weeks ago. Up here near Pittsburgh PA and I just saw, and heard the most flock(s) of geese come cruising right over me. They also were Closer to the ground then I normally have witnessed and it was wonderful. Just a guess, but maybe 400-500 of em. It was super sweet. I'm a big time hunter but never got into the waterfowl hunting. But just witnessing that, I really can appreciate Mr. Shipley how excited you get when they fill your fields and impoundments. It was glorious just having them fly by. Hope they r heading your way

Spent the day driving around cutting trees and filling my dump trailer. Poor folks just South of me in Ft Myers got hit bad. Fatalities in the hundreds. Don is right it's a tough call, stay or go. I always stay. Not in a flood zone so I ride it out. The storm surge would have to be like 30 ft. for my position to get flooded. Still unnerving when surrounded by water. I screen shot my position so you can get a gist of the pucker factor. So sorry about Scooter. Coyotes are becoming rampant here in Pinellas county. Ive hunted and snared coyotes for many years. Ive watched their behavior. They trick and play with dogs to lure them away. They trick them into a pack of 2 or more. Sometimes there will be six of them taking the kill. I hate them but they are effective hunters.

We have no bears or coyotes in the neighborhood (we lived on the outskirts of town almost in the country), but one day a lady was out with her small dog walking it in the neighborhood when a big old hawk swooped down, grabbed up the dog, flew it to the top of a hydro pole and proceeded to pick her dog apart. The poor woman was absolutely traumatized watching in sheer horror. Nature can be cruel.

My wife took this pic about 2 weeks ago in the morning when we let our dog out, about 2 minutes after the heard got spooked out of nowhere and we heard coyotes howling in the distance. If i had to guess they were stalking them. I dont exactly live in the holler we're in Center Twp PA. Senior might know where that is. we dont even let frank off his leash because there are reports of coyotes everywhere. And yes im aware the tree has a 🍆.

Sorry to hear about the pup. Open season here on coyotes. DWR pays $50 a piece for the jawbone, or the scalp with ears. This month two incidents of cougars attacking people. One lady was out deer hunting with a bow. She had no sidearm. Cougar took a swipe at her leg and scratched her up. Another incident two women were out jogging and the cougar bit the one lady on the leg. I live almost where the sidewalk ends. Here is a photo from the kitchen window taken two weeks ago. I was in Basic at Ft Jackson, SC July -Aug 1990 and a hurricane rolled through, our Bivouac was cancelled due to foxholes being full of rain and still heavy rain comin down plus high winds. then I did AIT at Jackson, Sep - Oct and I'll be damned if we didnt have to spend a week in field during the tail of a hurricane!

Up here near Pittsburgh PA and I just saw, and heard the most flock(s) of geese come cruising right over me. They also were Closer to the ground then I normally have witnessed and it was wonderful. Just a guess, but maybe 400-500 of em. It was super sweet. I'm a big time hunter but never got into the waterfowl hunting. But just witnessing that, I really can appreciate Mr. Shipley how excited you get when they fill your fields and impoundments. It was glorious just having them fly by. Hope they r heading your way

Good evening Everyone. St Pete FL here and we dodged a bullet. Some heavy rain and wind. Huge oaks, various trees down around town . Spent the day driving around cutting trees and filling my dump trailer. Poor folks just South of me in Ft Myers got hit bad. Fatalities in the hundreds. Don is right it's a tough call, stay or go. I always stay. Not in a flood zone so I ride it out. The storm surge would have to be like 30 ft. for my position to get flooded. Still unnerving when surrounded by water. I screen shot my position so you can get a gist of the pucker factor. So sorry about Scooter. Coyotes are becoming rampant here in Pinellas county. I'm on the nextdoor app for business and always hearing about people losing their cats and dogs. Old Man coyote is smart tough surviver. Much appreciated the messages and texts. IB

Ive hunted and snared coyotes for many years. Ive watched their behavior. They trick and play with dogs to lure them away. They trick them into a pack of 2 or more. Sometimes there will be six of them taking the kill. I hate them but they are effective hunters.
