I definitely don't mean any disrespect here, but the clip reminded me of this:

ATTENTION....
Ebenefits was hacked and peoples info was compromised, I talked to 2 Veterans today that have had their identity stolen and their money from VA or Retirement going to some other account. Please check your info.

Yes, another scam is to find a vet that is Not! applying for benefits and apply in that person's name. There should be a way to check that (although most vets may not even think about checking).

Example - I had a VA mortgage (even though I paid it off with cash almost 2 decades ago).
That info is made public - now folks know I qualify for Vets benefits.
I get mailers from loan companies almost every week about my VA loan and I used to get a notice from the district American Legion every year telling me I'm qualified (even though my service misses the Vietnam era deadline).
Anybody can apparently get that info. I would have no idea of some scammer has used that knowledge to get a fake vets disability check and have it sent to their account. Vets who actually do get & qualify for benefits will find out.
