I went to jump school in November 1986 and that was the most fun I had in any Army School. You must have really pissed them off to get rolled back. Our Company CO blasted the audio from Apocalypse Now every morning before PT. Good Times!

All the REAL men I have met from WW1 to present day, only talk about the funny things that happened.

Which reminds me of a story from WW2. This Aussie Destroyer Escort in the Med or somewhere, it may have been Alexandria or Malta I forget.
Anyway, these Aussie Officers got invited onto this great big US Destroyer for dinner and enjoyed all the hospitality that was available frlom the US Navy. Lovely food but they couldnt get a drin kas all US Ships were dry ships.
When the RAN blokes got back to their ship, there was an order given to "get that yank ice cream machine at all costs" as believe it or not, they actually had these machines as standard issue on such ships.
So the next day the Aussies started a huge brawl with the Yanks on the wharf, all in.
Whist this was happening, the Aussies stole aboard and lifted the ice cream machine.
When the machine was found missing, there was hell to pay on the US Ship.
Some Admiral or something was visiting, gave em hell "wheres my fucking ie cream rah rah".
So as these things go, the Aussies had to invite the Yanks to dinner on their little DE a few nights later to smooth things over re the little tussle on the wharf.
Ole Admiral Claxon or whoever he was, was amazed at the quallity of the ice cream and fruit salad, couldnt believe it.
He was very upset that his Ship couldnt give him fresh ice cream yet this little Aussie tin can could.
Australians have a long history of stealing from the Yanks and we are very proud of it.
