Well I was walking Shipley and Nancy Bin Laden and we noticed something hanging from a tree that was not there the other day. Called the Cops SES CFS and waited whilst making sure no kiddies appeared out of nowhere. All I can say is that it was a very cold night and thats better than summer for these things. Our new copper doesnt start till Wednesday so he missed out.
My Uncle Dave sent me and Jon jackets from Vietnam when we were like 3 years old, Don't think my Mom and Dad ever put them on us. Watched them deteriote in the closet. It didn't take long.
Dinner tonight, ordered Well Done….have leftovers for tomorrow night. My two youngest are coming over to put my mulch in an then into the above ground pond. Snowcraft survival school aka Happy Camper school when I was on Deep Freeze. It was a 2 day/one night course. We learned to make various shelters - snow caves, igloos, snow trench, a couple versions of tents, and then spend the night in those shelters. Remember to put your boots in your sleeping bag with you or they will be a bit nippy in the morning. Oh and fill your water bottle with hot water and keep it with you in your bag. Pic of one of the guys that camped out in a trench overnight.

That bird has really grown I had read they come down from Canada I dont think they are here more then a few months at the most. Bluejays might be more nomadic. Earlier, some people thought that birds either migrate or stay, they teach that stuff to little school kids because it's easier (and teachers aren't always that smart).😄
While it's true that way back when they did things like tagged a bird and saw it going from the same tree in Wisconsin to the same tree in Mexico over and over many species are much more nomadic than originally thought.
In temperate areas like the mid east coast they may migrate one year and not the next. If their favorite place becomes less favorable they'll find somewhere else ... no problem. 😄

Snowcraft survival school aka Happy Camper school when I was on Deep Freeze. It was a 2 day/one night course. We learned to make various shelters - snow caves, igloos, snow trench, a couple versions of tents, and then spend the night in those shelters. Remember to put your boots in your sleeping bag with you or they will be a bit nippy in the morning. Oh and fill your water bottle with hot water and keep it with you in your bag. Earlier, some people thought that birds either migrate or stay, they teach that stuff to little school kids because it's easier (and teachers aren't always that smart).😄
While it's true that way back when they did things like tagged a bird and saw it going from the same tree in Wisconsin to the same tree in Mexico over and over many species are much more nomadic than originally thought.
In temperate areas like the mid east coast they may migrate one year and not the next.
If their favorite place becomes less favorable they'll find somewhere else ... no problem. 😄
