I damn sure had NO idea just how much work goes into the upkeep of a successful hunting property until I joined this site. You guys don't do anything halfway. The only hunting I've done is for deer and turkey, I think I went twice for each, back in 2010, and didn't shoot anything on any of the hunts, nor did the guys who dragged me along. So I have never successfully hunted any animal in my life. (Not counting fish here.) I am a Noo Yawka, remember, my family are all city folk, so I never had the dad or uncle that most people do to teach them hunting. The lack of success and going home without shooting anything after all the goddamn effort trying to wait for the animals, put me off hunting. I'm not saying I won't try it again, I'd just rather go with a guide who will take me to somewhere where he KNOWS for sure there are animals.
