I have a question. I was watching the paul burnst phony video. He had claimed to be a nuclear weapons officer. Isnt that odd for a nuclear weapons officer to become a seal? I guess what im asking is it a red flag if someone says they went from being a nuclear weapons officer to a seal? I would think that becoming a nuclear weapons officer is an accomplishment all its own. It seems to me that it signifies you have intentions on going towards a certain career path. Also arent they more of the pocket protector/science type?

I'm sad I missed this one. It came down about a month after I left country. Insert via zodiac. The place they hit had about 20 bad guys holed up and like almost all our raids they took them without firing a shot. Speed and violence of action ftw.

I was in boot camp in San Diego in the mid 70s, things hadn't changed that much by the late 70s. They started several recruit companies a week but I don't think it was 1 a day. If he was class 269 he started some time in the fall and later in the year.
I also don't think he got an A-School with a 3 year enlistment. He may have went in unrated and wanted to strike for IC (interior communications). Of course phonies lie about everything so maybe he went in for a normal 4 year enlistment and got booted out in about 3 years.
in the years after 'Nam things were tighter in lots of Navy Ratings, there has to be a billet open for promotion so there were "closed" ratings where there were 15 or 20 billets for every 100 guys who took the E6 test and even E5 was bad for certain ratings. They weren't giving A-Schools to guys who enlisted 3 years with 3 years in the reserves.

I know my local police department and several of the guys, and it's a very fair and upstanding operation, but I don't think they'd let this guy off when threats to schools were involved. "I was put up on open bay barracks that night and I bought a 5th of Jack Daniels and drank it crying that night. The next day Tim Moore came to see me and scolded me for doing that. He said “You are never going to be able to come back if you start drinking” I got orders back to Pensacola with Naval Aviation Schools Command as an instructor teaching boxing and physical fitness. I trained every night with Roy Jones Sr. and Roy Jones Jr. I ran the obstacle course two of three times a day and the cross country course twice a day. I reapplied for BUD/s seven times before they let me back in. Mike McDonald my division chief and Navy SEAL recommended me to go back to BUD/s after the way I was training his son in boxing. He guaranteed in writing that I would make it through training. 20 months later I was on my way back to BUD/s I took 30 days leave and went to Michigan and worked out the high school cross country team. I clocked a time of 35 minutes flat for 10K, just before I left for- BUD/s class 141. I weighed 128 lbs walking around. Most of the same instructors were there. I tried to check in the last day possible so I could slide in with the rest of the class but they recognized me right off, instructor Sanborn recognized me right off “Let me see your teeth?” I flipped up my partial and he said “You’re the boxer right?” and I said “Yes”, he asked me “Are you going to make it this time?” Instructor Kauber and Vawter wished me good luck. I had an awesome roommate and swim buddy Syril Galindo. He was Filipino but he lived in Hawaii his whole life. He was a surfer."

I was in boot camp in San Diego in the mid 70s, things hadn't changed that much by the late 70s. They started several recruit companies a week but I don't think it was 1 a day. If he was class 269 he started some time in the fall and later in the year.
I also don't think he got an A-School with a 3 year enlistment. He may have went in unrated and wanted to strike for IC (interior communications). Of course phonies lie about everything so maybe he went in for a normal 4 year enlistment and got booted out in about 3 years.
in the years after 'Nam things were tighter in lots of Navy Ratings, there has to be a billet open for promotion so there were "closed" ratings where there were 15 or 20 billets for every 100 guys who took the E6 test and even E5 was bad for certain ratings.
They weren't giving A-Schools to guys who enlisted 3 years with 3 years in the reserves.

Can some LE chime in here? Is this Arkansas thing where you can communicate threats to schools and kids and teachers and get away with it because you're drunk pretty standard? I know my local police department and several of the guys, and it's a very fair and upstanding operation, but I don't think they'd let this guy off when threats to schools were involved. But I just don't know the inner workings and the loopholes with various laws.

There is A guy who is a member of my ARIES who works in the Load-out room at the SEAL compound at Little Creek. When asked what kind of work you do, he'll tell you, but in the same sentence, he will say that he's NO SEAL and that he just works there. this guy Boyd must have had a screwed-up childhood to make all the claims he is making, maybe his daddy beat him all the time, or perhaps his little Sister.

"I was put up on open bay barracks that night and I bought a 5th of Jack Daniels and drank it crying that night. The next day Tim Moore came to see me and scolded me for doing that. He said “You are never going to be able to come back if you start drinking” I got orders back to Pensacola with Naval Aviation Schools Command as an instructor teaching boxing and physical fitness. I trained every night with Roy Jones Sr. and Roy Jones Jr. I ran the obstacle course two of three times a day and the cross country course twice a day. I reapplied for BUD/s seven times before they let me back in. Mike McDonald my division chief and Navy SEAL recommended me to go back to BUD/s after the way I was training his son in boxing. He guaranteed in writing that I would make it through training. 20 months later I was on my way back to BUD/s I took 30 days leave and went to Michigan and worked out the high school cross country team. I clocked a time of 35 minutes flat for 10K, just before I left for- BUD/s class 141. I weighed 128 lbs walking around.
Most of the same instructors were there. I tried to check in the last day possible so I could slide in with the rest of the class but they recognized me right off, instructor Sanborn recognized me right off “Let me see your teeth?” I flipped up my partial and he said “You’re the boxer right?” and I said “Yes”, he asked me “Are you going to make it this time?” Instructor Kauber and Vawter wished me good luck. I had an awesome roommate and swim buddy Syril Galindo. He was Filipino but he lived in Hawaii his whole life. He was a surfer."
