i wanted to talk about the federal reserve- i studied political science in college i been studying it ever since i liked carter but i think he made a big mistake regarding how he managed the federal reserve it's like mr carter totally didnt do or say anything as he watched the chairman of the federal reserve jack up inflation to 17%
i want to mention i like carter its like if he had a cabinet with ten parts and he did nine of the ten parts good but he totally failed the accounting part
the chairman of the reserve is supposed to be non political with forever appointment the chairman of the res at the time was some guy named burns
burns was a thief republican what jacked up interest rates to make the democrats look bad
i like poli sci i like carter i studied inflation trying to understand how the rate got so bad
i studied econ 101 macroeconomics i got an A i wanted to learn all about money i studied inflation
the fed has a finite history it started in the 1950s its possible to observe and study its actions
the fed subscribes to a false concept the fed says it tries to diminish inflation by raising overnight interest rates in other words it says it tries to diminish inflation by raising prices
proper understanding of the fed requires a brief lesson on the overnight rate
all banks have a required reserve amount it seems to me remarkably small at about 5% at the end of every business day all the banks total up how much money they have loaned out and then they have to match the required reserve amount so then if a bank has 100 million loaned out at the end of the day then it checks to see what percent of cash they have like say 5% then if the bank needs a loan they can get it from the reserve or another bank if the bank has more cash than the required reserve then the bank could loan that out at some rate like 1/360x.05
so then at the end of the day if a bank saw it didnt have enough cash to meet the required reserve then it would get an overnight loan from the fed reserve
the banks do that every business day they total out and match against the required reserve
some fed chairmen subscribe to the false concept that raising the overnight rate diminishes inflation they contend that a raise in the overnight rate will cause banks to loan less
history has shown that concept is false when the fed raises the overnight rates then the banks all raise the prime rate by the same amount they continue to loan
the fed is misguiding when it says they diminish inflation by raising prices a history of the fed shows that when the fed raises the overnight rate then inflation raises by a similar amount it corresponds and correlates its been that way since the 1950s
when the fed raises the overnight rates then inflation raises by a corresponding and correlating amount when the fed lowers overnight rates then inflation lowers the same
there is something else the fed could do to affect inflation they could raise the amount of the required reserve instead of the overnight rate
what we had during the carter presidency was a chairman of the federal reserve what was a thief politician mistaking on purpose to discredit a political opponent
i see in financial news that many people subscribe to the false concept that raising prices diminishes inflation i see guys with degrees in business and finance on tv talking about how the fed will need to loosen or tighten and i realize how much nonsense they are
its like they are supposed to be the experts on economics and they talking nonsense about how the fed should jack up the overnight rate i ask for them to explain how raising prices lowers prices i wait for an answer im smart i can understand go on and tell me how raising prices lowers prices
inflation follows the prime rate which follows the overnight rate it corresponds and correlates
how about raising the required reserve?
its not so hard to understand the fed its a thief politician jacking up inflation in order to discredit a political opponent

I wasn't proud of myself at one point in my life, but I wouldn't lie and make outrageous claims to my wife. You know what I did? I worked hard as hell and applied myself and became something. I don't understand these guys. I just don't fuckin understand how you could be comfortable in a false life like that. I also don't understand how someone could feel comfortable stealing valor from those who earned it.
