I crossed the equator on the USS New Orleans in 1980, and there were SEALS going thru the initiation with us on the flight deck. and I admired them, was honored to meet them and looked at their tridents with reverence BUT never, ever thought to ever wear THEIR designator " as a tribute " to them... I don't think this guy was in service in that area at all, I can see he is 100 bullshit. I'm an Army guy that was in that area and I can say, he wasn't there. I was in Vietnam from 68-69 the iron triangle area.
