Spent some good time talkin with young Vets today. A range of topics were discussed, deployments, food, and funny things that happen. I then mentioned what do you think went through someone's mind who was drafted and had no desire to serve and found themselves in Marine bootcamp. These Marines were true masters of those who learned how to embrace the suck. Kennedy once said "Life is not fair" and to that i would add once you understand that, life becomes easier.

Don, I have fished the CBBT for almost 55yrs. And it is a great place to start kids fishing, I started mine at the first island ( actually between the "Rocks" at Little Creek)and gradually worked out towards the Towers and such. Two of my favorite Flounder spots is "The Yancy wreck" on an Ebb tide, and that big hole behind the fourth island ( a lot of door mats come out of that one " a lot of 10 & 12 pounders). Right now a lot of strippers are just about everywhere, especially on top.

I'll have to make a trip to the meat market now! I have a bunch of jerky seasonings I need to use before my wife decides to throw them out.

I think the lowest I can get my propane smoker to run is about 150 if the sun is out, but at night I can get it closer to 125. It's still getting into the 60's on the cold days... so no help from winter weather!

I might have to try this on my pellet grill, I can do 135 on it. It just won't put out much smoke at that temp. Maybe I can put one of those smoker cans in there with wood chunks and charcoal while the grill puts out that tiny bit of smoke?

I'll work on it this weekend!
