I'm listening to "Nothing is off the table" with Don, and he told the story of how him and Diane met. We've all heard that story of course, but I am convinced some of the most stable relationships begin with a bit of a bang. When I was 18 I worked catching shoplifters at biggs. We would POST at the end cap with cigarettes because biggs was an anchor store for what was a massive shopping mall back then, and there was a huge food court, arcades, movie theater, etc., not too far from biggs, maybe 100 yards or more. The ONLY place in the mall get smokes was biggs. So we'd stand in the mall, looking into the store at the Cig display, and you could see them, usually teens, come in at the end of the store near register 1(out of 56)snag a pack as they walked by the display, take a hard left, go to the end of the aisle, hard right, and walk across the entire back of the store, through the soft lines, into electronics, and they'd walk right out of the store and into the mall, and our waiting arms, at register 56, having pocketed the cigs as they crossed the store. It was an easy bust, and you HAD to get one a day or you felt like shit, so I am following this KID, I mean he was 15, but looked NINE, and he must have pocketed and UNPOCKETED those smokes a half dozen times. He was scared to walk out. He never made me, but FUCK it went on for 20-30 min; he had the money to buy them, but he looked like the Home Alone kid. NO WAY he can buy them! Or so I thought. Then, all of a sudden the little fuck jumps in line. One of the CSR's had relieved a cashier for her break, so she JUST took over the register, he drops them on the belt, and BEEP, she SCANNED them and rang his ass up, didn't even ASK for an ID!!! I was SO PISSED! They USUALLY had the money to pay, but they were not 18, so these were easy busts; but this little shit was too scared to steal them, so he tried ONE register and within 15 seconds he's walking down the mall tapping them on his hand. I was LIVID. I approached the register, and since I was in street clothes I said: "Hi," (looked at her name tag) "...AMY is it? Hi Amy, my name is Joe, I work in loss prevention here at biggs. Tell me Amy, do you $10,000.00 on you? Because you do not LOOK like you do?" "No" she said. I said: "Well since you do not have the ten grand we'll get fined for you selling these KIDS cigarettes, it MIGHT be a good idea for you to CARD these TODDLERS when they come through your line. Okay? GOOD, GLAD we agree!" and as I walked away I heard her say: "Asshole." We've been married 32 years, she's upstairs cooking right now; but those were the very first words we spoke. I tell her all the time that 32 years is a LONG time to be a lucky woman. I mean USUALLY when you hit the lottery it happens ONCE, but in her case its happened every day for over three decades. hahahahaha I can still coax an "Asshole" out of her without much effort

When I was a young paramedic, after assisting with a "hot unload," I was offered a refueling ride in UC's Aircare. I asked the pilot if he felt confident he could fly and land with me wrapped around his head and chest screaming for mommy and shitting myself. We decided I needed to remain on the ground. But Admiral Perkins here? That is a Perkins they are at isn't it? Anyway, this guy looks at flying a chopper like I look at working a toilet! NUTTIN TO IT! I am learning SO much!! and the TURKS fight with Piano wire while wearing ballet slippers???? WHO would have guessed THAT!!!?? This man is just SO amazing us normal fuckers cannot begin to comprehend the greatness that is HE. I WOULD LOVE to hear his ENTIRE interview!! What a FASCINATING person.

My stepfather is going to die of COVID today or tomorrow. He's 78 years old, with diabetes, dementia, and now COVID. He's unconscious on a ventilator, with a DNR. My mom is with him now, saying good-bye. He's a retired army master sergeant, served 28 years, 1961-1989, three tours in Vietnam, president of his local Vietnam Vets club for a decade. He was a foster kid, and literally spent his youth living in a hay loft of the barn of the family that took him in. The army was the first and only family he ever really knew or felt close to.
When I returned from Desert Storm, our town held a parade. About 30 of us were Storm vets, and we marched as a platoon. My stepfather got permission for his Vietnam Vets club to march as a platoon, behind us, because they wanted to honor us in ways they had not been honored. I left our platoon and marched with theirs. I'll always be glad I did that. They were good men... good, proud, respectful men who hugged all of us and welcomed us home.
My stepfather loved 'Men of Honor.' I see clowns like this phony SEAL in this video and I wish we could see them take a smack in the teeth, on camera. Fuck them. That's all. They deserve no other mention here.

Important learnings: 1. Fiat Chrysler's factory batteries fail within one year of brand new. If you have a Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat, or anything made by Stellantis, this means you. 2. They (the factory batteries supplied when vehicle is built) are lead-acid traditional batteries, not AGM ones. 3. When you remove the old one, your stereo (UConnect system) will lock until you start the engine. There will also be a check engine light in the display which does not yield any codes. This is no big deal apparently. 4. When you start the engine, the display will look totally different, and your SiriusXM option will be missing, causing a minor coronary as your previous experience with Beemers will tell you that this warrants a trip to the stealership to have the vehicle reprogrammed. Fortunately for us, Learning 5 below applies. 5. In order to fix this, do a reset of your UConnect stereo display by holding in the volume and tuner buttons for at least 20 seconds, and let go. Display will turn black, then will come back on in 15 seconds as if nothing had ever happened. All issues resolved.

I'm listening to "Nothing is off the table" with Don, and he told the story of how him and Diane met. We've all heard that story of course, but I am convinced some of the most stable relationships begin with a bit of a bang. When I was 18 I worked catching shoplifters at biggs. We would POST at the end cap with cigarettes because biggs was an anchor store for what was a massive shopping mall back then, and there was a huge food court, arcades, movie theater, etc., not too far from biggs, maybe 100 yards or more. The ONLY place in the mall get smokes was biggs. So we'd stand in the mall, looking into the store at the Cig display, and you could see them, usually teens, come in at the end of the store near register 1(out of 56)snag a pack as they walked by the display, take a hard left, go to the end of the aisle, hard right, and walk across the entire back of the store, through the soft lines, into electronics, and they'd walk right out of the store and into the mall, and our waiting arms, at register 56, having pocketed the cigs as they crossed the store. It was an easy bust, and you HAD to get one a day or you felt like shit, so I am following this KID, I mean he was 15, but looked NINE, and he must have pocketed and UNPOCKETED those smokes a half dozen times. He was scared to walk out. He never made me, but FUCK it went on for 20-30 min; he had the money to buy them, but he looked like the Home Alone kid. NO WAY he can buy them! Or so I thought. Then, all of a sudden the little fuck jumps in line. One of the CSR's had relieved a cashier for her break, so she JUST took over the register, he drops them on the belt, and BEEP, she SCANNED them and rang his ass up, didn't even ASK for an ID!!! I was SO PISSED! They USUALLY had the money to pay, but they were not 18, so these were easy busts; but this little shit was too scared to steal them, so he tried ONE register and within 15 seconds he's walking down the mall tapping them on his hand. I was LIVID. I approached the register, and since I was in street clothes I said: "Hi," (looked at her name tag) "...AMY is it? Hi Amy, my name is Joe, I work in loss prevention here at biggs. Tell me Amy, do you $10,000.00 on you? Because you do not LOOK like you do?" "No" she said. I said: "Well since you do not have the ten grand we'll get fined for you selling these KIDS cigarettes, it MIGHT be a good idea for you to CARD these TODDLERS when they come through your line. Okay? GOOD, GLAD we agree!" and as I walked away I heard her say: "Asshole." We've been married 32 years, she's upstairs cooking right now; but those were the very first words we spoke. I tell her all the time that 32 years is a LONG time to be a lucky woman. I mean USUALLY when you hit the lottery it happens ONCE, but in her case its happened every day for over three decades. hahahahaha I can still coax an "Asshole" out of her without much effort

I asked the pilot if he felt confident he could fly and land with me wrapped around his head and chest screaming for mommy and shitting myself. We decided I needed to remain on the ground. But Admiral Perkins here? That is a Perkins they are at isn't it? Anyway, this guy looks at flying a chopper like I look at working a toilet! NUTTIN TO IT! I am learning SO much!! and the TURKS fight with Piano wire while wearing ballet slippers???? WHO would have guessed THAT!!!?? My stepfather is going to die of COVID today or tomorrow. He's 78 years old, with diabetes, dementia, and now COVID. He's unconscious on a ventilator, with a DNR. My mom is with him now, saying good-bye. He's a retired army master sergeant, served 28 years, 1961-1989, three tours in Vietnam, president of his local Vietnam Vets club for a decade. He was a foster kid, and literally spent his youth living in a hay loft of the barn of the family that took him in. The army was the first and only family he ever really knew or felt close to.
When I returned from Desert Storm, our town held a parade. About 30 of us were Storm vets, and we marched as a platoon. My stepfather got permission for his Vietnam Vets club to march as a platoon, behind us, because they wanted to honor us in ways they had not been honored. I left our platoon and marched with theirs. I'll always be glad I did that. They were good men... good, proud, respectful men who hugged all of us and welcomed us home.
My stepfather loved 'Men of Honor.' I see clowns like this phony SEAL in this video and I wish we could see them take a smack in the teeth, on camera. Fuck them. That's all. They deserve no other mention here.
Anyway, I thought this crowd would be one my stepfather would like to be remembered in. Here's to him...

Important learnings:
1. Fiat Chrysler's factory batteries fail within one year of brand new. If you have a Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Fiat, or anything made by Stellantis, this means you.
2. They (the factory batteries supplied when vehicle is built) are lead-acid traditional batteries, not AGM ones.
3. When you remove the old one, your stereo (UConnect system) will lock until you start the engine. There will also be a check engine light in the display which does not yield any codes. This is no big deal apparently.
4. When you start the engine, the display will look totally different, and your SiriusXM option will be missing, causing a minor coronary as your previous experience with Beemers will tell you that this warrants a trip to the stealership to have the vehicle reprogrammed. Fortunately for us, Learning 5 below applies.
5. In order to fix this, do a reset of your UConnect stereo display by holding in the volume and tuner buttons for at least 20 seconds, and let go. Display will turn black, then will come back on in 15 seconds as if nothing had ever happened. All issues resolved.

You know, I have to agree with Diane in the last video, it's just pathetic to see an individual his age claiming all this bullshit, and he's good at it, been building his fake story for a long time and you know dang well his family also believes his bullshit story. He's never going to admit he's a phony, but when he passes and the family request all these military honors, there going to have a rude awakening, just tragic all around. But I must admit, I love it when Senior puts these together with the movie clips, just like the good ole days, outstanding!

weird, I have never heard of ONE electricians Mate become a navy SEAL? mostly Bosuns, Gunners, maybe a quartermaster? we had a Machinist Mate on my ship put in a request chit,to join the SEAL's,
it got denied..then he put in another and said, if they don't approve? ima gonna fu$%ing jump off the fantail at noon...sure thing, got denied at 1200, he ran full speed right off the helo deck and jumped off the stern...we were going 15knots, in the Philippine Sea!...he didn't get sucked down!! we did a man overboard !! motor whale boat was launched, he fought off the sailors...after he was secured, the old man sent him toot sweet to Oak Knoll Naval Hospital 5th floor !!
