Was stick weldin with some 7018 rod, one of my favorites. lift the hood and and start hammering the slag off and I take a hot piece in the eye, aint the first time. Eye doctor says " yeah it was a hot one, it seared to the eye then slide down , its stuck in place" He and EYE are on a first name basis. I put his kids thru college with the number of visits to his office over the years. Sometimes he drills the steel to remove it. Anyway he says hes gonna put a contact lense in the eye to cover the wound. I ask him why, he says to keep the air from gettin to the wound, less pain. I tell him no. He tells me im gonna regret my no contact lense when the numbing med wears off. I didnt even make it outta town, that bastard was right SOB.
