28 years ago on this day we struck first in Gulf War. Some say this war was nothing and play it off, well not to those that were there and lived it. I have lost some old friends to Gulf War syndrome, so it does exist, I am starting to get sick as I grow older.

Anyway I remember this night as it was yester day. I was on a Two man Team Generator watch, we stayed out on the Gen Farm as we called it, taking readings, we had 00:00-04:00 watch or balls to four. The generators were in middle of camp surrounded by walls of sand bags on all four sides with a walk way of course, you could look up in the clear sky and is was clear that night. We didn't know what time it was going down just new it would start this day 28 years ago. My Battle buddy and I could see a lot of plans up around 02:00 or so and we new it started. We were relived by the next watch standers at 03:45 and went back to the tent and as soon as we arrived, GAS, GAS,GAS went off on PA, and oh shit it started. You want to crap your pants the first time you here Gas for real. Anyway that is my first day war story. P.S. we stayed in Mask for about 1hr until all clear.
