Evening all. A COVID Christmas Eve here but I am over the worst of it and MrsNH is back on the Peloton. Everything is almost back to normal though it took a week. Kids are asking to go to bed so they don’t miss Santa so I am off to load up the cookies and milk plus a shot for the big guy. Hope all is well with everyone and thanks for the well wishes. I got both types but the cheaper Velcro seem to work better as I think it is assumed you’ll misplace a few that’s why in parts they have bundles. They even use the darn things (Alaskan bran) in New York City to prevent cuts from glass. Good luck with that. Would love to get a Warrior Dog, beautiful, efficient and lazy as they get older like all of us! Looking forward to some giant goose calling Bro. Did Diane get what the kids had? I hate that projectile stuff as you know it’s coming and it won’t be just one exit point. They do have a nasal spray now that prevents a lot but those kiddie schools can produce some nasty crap. And the doctors will want to make sure ok for surgery. I’d have a long discussion with doc as my brother had same surgery and he usually doesn’t take meds. Vicodin too week for her, OxyContin is gold standard as well as oxycodone the immediate release for breakthrough pain. Usually they don’t give you anything until you adequately inform them and she shouldn’t be in hurry to get out of hospital. My Dad a former surgeon said that was one of biggest problems people wanting to get discharged too early. Let the doctor know you are responsible but you will not suffer. Get Phillips tablets and Luctolose to keep things moving however so she doesn’t get plugged up. My brother was happy he had a doctor that understood. He was in constant pain about 6 weeks and said they saved his bacon and then he gradually decreased and got off of them regardless got to be firm as no rules prohibit it but some docs make excuses They might say that bs at discharge. Also in hospital you might have a. Bunch of meds ordered but these nurses treat it like rewards or punishment. An old guy used to bring a large amount of candies and pastries only for nurses kept in your hospital room not for visitors but for staff. They will give better care coming in to fill bellies up!
I got to hold her for a long time, and apologized to her before she died, for being such a fool, she kept telling me we’ll be together again someday, just keep the faith.
I started going out with Lisa in 78, I was 18 and she was 17 and a half, we were together from 78- 86, in 85 we moved to N. Miami, lived there for a year with her Mom, then I got rabbit feet and moved out and back to New England, and started to mess around with the wrong crowd up here, and we lost touch and she got married and had 3 kids. She was married 20 years when her husband died, then in 2013 we hooked up again, and spent 10 awesome years together. We should have never left New England in the first place, and I should have went into the Air Force like I was planning to, and I should have married that girl from the start, now I’m alone and deservedly so.
The pic I posted earlier of Sandra, was from our college graduation picture...1991, 21 years old. We went all through grade school, kindergarten to grade 8, all through high-school, and then college. A lifetime of memories together.
She took a big part of me with her. Lisa was her name.

Dentinger not David Detinger, And he is a Legitimate DSC recipient from The Vietnam War
I couldn’t make it to my mother’s house for Thanksgiving, she had most of the family there, and 2 of my sisters came to my house to make our own Turkey dinner, and had a great time, and Mom was fine and encouraged us to do so. Well my 19 year old nephew and his girlfriend had too much to drink at Moms, and caused a big disturbance outside her home, this was all kept from me, until one of her neighbors “leaked” it to me. I’m going there tomorrow for the family to celebrate Christmas Eve, and Me and my Nephew are going in the tool shed, for a “conversation”, unbeknownst to him! 😡 I have 0 tolerance for this generations bullshit!

Just checked out the video 👍 thanx Senior Chief, poor Diane! It brought me back to when I was 18, and I stayed out drinking vodka and orange juice till 3am, and had to get up and pave a driveway at 6am, I hugged the bowl for 20 minutes or so, then went to meet the rest of the guy’s to load up the tools and get going, but had a severe case of dry heaves. I couldn’t hold coffee down or even think of eating, but the bosses wife gave me a slice of white bread with mustard and black pepper, I forced it down and a half hour later had a craving for a ice cold vanilla frappe, got one drank it and was back to normal except for the headache! Never drank vodka again! 🥴

Fresh ginger ground up into food or drink is the best thing for nausea. It’s strong and kinda hot and peppery but honestly it works. Oh and don’t forget the chicken noodle soup. I’m so sorry you guys are sick. Merry Christmas if that’s possible.

Boy , if I had a dime for every time someone got sick during a vacation. My son and all his inlaws did the week together thing. I declined. They all got violently sick, I went deer hunting with 2 friends and enjoyed the hell out of it. The wife spent 7 days with her grandmother the last year of her life. The lets go on vacation together subject just never comes up any more. My sister and friends got to spend their cruise barfing into a rocking toilet. (land lubbers) Not me ever...it's the kiss of death the instant someone says lets do it together.

And the doctors will want to make sure ok for surgery. I’d have a long discussion with doc as my brother had same surgery and he usually doesn’t take meds. Vicodin too week for her, OxyContin is gold standard as well as oxycodone the immediate release for breakthrough pain. Usually they don’t give you anything until you adequately inform them and she shouldn’t be in hurry to get out of hospital. My Dad a former surgeon said that was one of biggest problems people wanting to get discharged too early. Let the doctor know you are responsible but you will not suffer. Get Phillips tablets and Luctolose to keep things moving however so she doesn’t get plugged up. My brother was happy he had a doctor that understood. He was in constant pain about 6 weeks and said they saved his bacon and then he gradually decreased and got off of them regardless got to be firm as no rules prohibit it but some docs make excuses They might say that bs at discharge. Also in hospital you might have a. Bunch of meds ordered but these nurses treat it like rewards or punishment. An old guy used to bring a large amount of candies and pastries only for nurses kept in your hospital room not for visitors but for staff. They will give better care coming in to fill bellies up!

I started going out with Lisa in 78, I was 18 and she was 17 and a half, we were together from 78- 86, in 85 we moved to N. Miami, lived there for a year with her Mom, then I got rabbit feet and moved out and back to New England, and started to mess around with the wrong crowd up here, and we lost touch and she got married and had 3 kids. She was married 20 years when her husband died, then in 2013 we hooked up again, and spent 10 awesome years together. We should have never left New England in the first place, and I should have went into the Air Force like I was planning to, and I should have married that girl from the start, now I’m alone and deservedly so.

I had a bit of a Senior Chief almost calling stolen valor on someone who was there, The man’s name is in the video is listed as David Detinger, And he’s wearing a Distinguished Service Cross on his shirt, That’s the second highest award for valor the U.S Army can award, Yet when I looked up his name on the hall of Valor project I couldn’t find any listing, I thought okay this isn’t real they got him off the street so then I decided to look up his name in the search engine and the first thing I clicked on is the website of the 1st Cavalry Division and I had to do some scrolling and sure enough I saw the problem, His first and last name is David D. I couldn’t make it to my mother’s house for Thanksgiving, she had most of the family there, and 2 of my sisters came to my house to make our own Turkey dinner, and had a great time, and Mom was fine and encouraged us to do so. Well my 19 year old nephew and his girlfriend had too much to drink at Moms, and caused a big disturbance outside her home, this was all kept from me, until one of her neighbors “leaked” it to me. I’m going there tomorrow for the family to celebrate Christmas Eve, and Me and my Nephew are going in the tool shed, for a “conversation”, unbeknownst to him! 😡 I have 0 tolerance for this generations bullshit!

Just checked out the video 👍 thanx Senior Chief, poor Diane! It brought me back to when I was 18, and I stayed out drinking vodka and orange juice till 3am, and had to get up and pave a driveway at 6am, I hugged the bowl for 20 minutes or so, then went to meet the rest of the guy’s to load up the tools and get going, but had a severe case of dry heaves. I couldn’t hold coffee down or even think of eating, but the bosses wife gave me a slice of white bread with mustard and black pepper, I forced it down and a half hour later had a craving for a ice cold vanilla frappe, got one drank it and was back to normal except for the headache! Never drank vodka again! 🥴

Fresh ginger ground up into food or drink is the best thing for nausea. It’s strong and kinda hot and peppery but honestly it works. Oh and don’t forget the chicken noodle soup. I’m so sorry you guys are sick. Merry Christmas if that’s possible.

Boy , if I had a dime for every time someone got sick during a vacation. My son and all his inlaws did the week together thing. I declined. They all got violently sick, I went deer hunting with 2 friends and enjoyed the hell out of it. The wife spent 7 days with her grandmother the last year of her life. The lets go on vacation together subject just never comes up any more. My sister and friends got to spend their cruise barfing into a rocking toilet. (land lubbers) Not me ever...it's the kiss of death the instant someone says lets do it together.
