Bad accident up the road in the bush. One heavily trapped. Fire, SES, Ambos, Police, and the Doctor is coming from the hospital 40 min away in another ambulance. Helicopter on its way, but its never good when all the resources are thrown in and worse when the Doctor is called. Thats what we have to do in the bush, because of distance, if its bad, the Doctor heads towards you.
Theres nothing out there, either gone off a cliff or into a tree. Our unit is the Heavy Rescue and two of the blokes are away and I wouldnt want to be relying on the rest. Its 4WD only out there, no phone reception, so 4 ambulances, 3 cop cars, half a dozen fire trucks, farmers, State Emergency Service x 3 and a chopper.
They dont use sirens here unless you are in Cardiac Arrest here, usually just flashing lights as theres not enough traffic to warrant the sirens. So when the lights and sirens are on, that means they can break the speed limit and they dont like to because of the Roos. If the Ambulance hits one at 120mph everyones dead.
Ford Ranger I am told and Im told down here that equals fuckwit. Its not school holidays so hope no kids involved. Chopper is 20 min out, if it turns around thats not good.

EDIT 2 minutes after posting, the chopper has done a Ubolt, crew stood down 16:58 so its a fatality, how many we will see. Never good for the locals to have to watch someone die.

Think I'll trap this hog. They make great housewarming gifts...

6 acres is fantastic, you plant a few trees create a few views, it feels like 20.
Get some vegies going in chest high planter boxes so you dont have to bend over, feed yourself.
Ping pest birds out of the trees with an air rifle. Wave to the passing cars, dinners ready, paradise.

Excited for you both. So many moving parts in relocating. Folks here in FL still aren't in a lot of their homes from last years hurricanes. Local government has 2 speeds. Slow and stop. Looks like it went seamless and kudos to Diane for taking the bull by the horns. 6 acres is still a nice chunk of real estate. Certain Don will get some kind of action going.
