~1980 our repel boarders team was led by a SEAL Senior Chief who was doing a final sea rotation before retiring. He did 2 tours in Viet Nam. The man was 20 years older than most of us on the repel boarders team and none of us could come close to keeping up with him. We would be out on the fantail in 120 degree heat doing pushups on non-skid and people would complain about their hands getting blistered and I thought he was going to through someone overboard. The man was a beast.

I just read "Men In Green Faces" by Gene Wentz...I enjoyed it.
