Senior, I miss my Dad too. I remember being a silly assed teenager and convinced that I knew everything. Back then, like most teenagers, I could do some really stupid shit. His favorite line was, “Stop trying to think kid, you’re not good at it yet.” 🤣🤣❤️❤️

Great story, very relatable to my own experience. Lived my whole life west of Buffalo in a little town on Lake Erie. Until one Mother's day my home burned down while I was in it. That's a story for another day.
Found myself a week later living with family in West Virginia. I was uprooted from what friends and family I knew, not really enjoying it. And knowing there wasn't a future there for me that was acceptable.
I turned 17 in November and exactly 30 days later, enlisted in the Navy to be an Air Controller. Only to find out when I got to boot camp, I'd have to choose another rate because I needed to be 18 years old to start AC "A" school. So I chose AW, Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator. I wanted to fly.
I retired 21 years later. Best decision I ever made.
