My meeting of Colonel "Mitch" makes me still think . I asked why I have problems reading . A D H D was his immediate response . I love being outside. Oh . It's May . My birthday is on the 14th. I think Mad Dog's is on the 16th . Please say hi .

Senior, I miss my Dad too. I remember being a silly assed teenager and convinced that I knew everything. Back then, like most teenagers, I could do some really stupid shit. His favorite line was, βStop trying to think kid, youβre not good at it yet.β π€£π€£β€οΈβ€οΈ

You can tell your Dad gave you a great foundation. Deckplate in life. Deckplate in the navy.

I remember watching this show. My dad always made funny comments about it. ππππ
I went to middle and high school with your son. I'm pretty sure you have crossed paths with my father, if you ever visited Portsmouth Naval between 1998 and 2008. Go Hawks!

Great story, very relatable to my own experience. Lived my whole life west of Buffalo in a little town on Lake Erie. Until one Mother's day my home burned down while I was in it. That's a story for another day. Found myself a week later living with family in West Virginia. I was uprooted from what friends and family I knew, not really enjoying it. And knowing there wasn't a future there for me that was acceptable. I turned 17 in November and exactly 30 days later, enlisted in the Navy to be an Air Controller. Only to find out when I got to boot camp, I'd have to choose another rate because I needed to be 18 years old to start AC "A" school. So I chose AW, Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator. I wanted to fly. I retired 21 years later. Best decision I ever made.
