I have a catfish den right off to the side of my boat dock and we also have HUGE alligator gar. The bay I live in is a fisherman’s paradise. We have huge catfish, huge alligator gar, huge bass, huge brim and crappie. I live in this hidden cove off the Cumberland near nashville and I have drug trees out around the cove which is huge, on the left of the cove is cliff faces and deep deep water and then off to the right is 3 tributary decent size creeks that feed water into the cove and over the last 20 years I have placed things around the cove to attract different things and now I have guys in the big fishing competitions coming into my cove off the river trying to catch my fish. Lol I have a sound system under my boat dock I can turn on that causes the fish to not scare off and not bite and when those competition guys come in I’ll turn it on. My big fish are not for catching and taking away. They are for kids to come catch and release. We just had a 10 year old catch the state record bass off my boat dock.

I want to come to a Shipley party. I haven’t been up to Chesapeak/hampton roads in a few years. I need to take a trip up there and see my friends. I got out of the navy a few years ago and moved back here to Nashville. If you and Mrs. Diane come to nashville ever let me know, i have a lake house with boats and hot tub and huge screened in porches and i hVe a bunch of airbnbs right down around all the bars downtown and you guys are more than welcome to stay at any of my properties for free. I have a house downtown nashville that sleeps 20, and 6 apartments, a farm and farm house, and my lake house. Just take your pick.

At our family farm I once caught an 8 lb 8 oz bass. I was about 13! Rapala on a still late afternoon
Oh boy! We went and did it now; what were we thinking? Mom was working at the hospital, so we were over at Hef's. Hef was on call, and his phone rang, so he had to leave on a service call. We got bored and didn't think he'd mind if we took the DeLorean for another tour. If only we knew where we would have ended up. We just wanted to jump ahead enough to see who won the Super Bowl. We wanted to put a large bet on the winner. As usual, number 3 miscalculated our jump in time, and put us face to face with some psycho. Thank God we had a Rubik's cube, and the psycho was distracted with it long enough so we could get out of that place. Needless to say number 3 will never be doing the time jump calculations again, he needs to stick to making samiches and scoring us our weed. I guess the Force was with us this time...

Photo of great grandfather and his brother returning from fishing. The tradition of fishing is passed on to the next generations.

Greetings, TV installer coming in the morning, 55” LG crapped out Wednesday so Tina bought another. 8.5 yrs and the picture is still great. Looses audio then goes off and back on repeating itself over and over. They want $60 bucks to do diagnostic, then the parts and labor. New one $300 plus $100 for delivery, install and haul away. Bit of trivia, it takes 27,225 gallons of water to add 1" to 1 acre. If it's a 1 acre pond, you would be adding an inch a day. It's kind of hard to tell the size from the videos but google earth or onX should be able to figure it out.

Nice little slice of serenity from the pond back view. Live shiners work good here for bass or a purple culprit. Bees or going to get nuked. Anything with fire always makes it fun. Guess the boy is still in all of us. Fire ants here in FL and they suck. I give them the business when their in my AO. Will that pond freeze enough to take the grandkids ice skating? Looks like you're keeping busy.
I thought with retirement I'd spend it traveling and relaxing. It's just different jobs. I have an A/C disconnect I need to buy/install, run/bury a 150' drain line for my water softener and replace the master cylinder, front brake calipers and rear brake cylinders on a 76 F250. Every day is Saturday, unless it's Sunday.

Thank ya, Don, great video. If ya can find Ralph Spry, he was my C.O. at HHC 2/9 Inf, Olympic stand by and bass fisherman from hell! Seems like he was from VA, but he was Head Coach at Auburn, AL where he coached 3 - 4 students into Olympics. A lot of fellers round here swear by dropping Cedars into their ponds, says it provides best protection/hiding.

Bit of trivia, it takes 27,225 gallons of water to add 1" to 1 acre. If it's a 1 acre pond, you would be adding an inch a day. It's kind of hard to tell the size from the videos but google earth or onX should be able to figure it out.

Nice little slice of serenity from the pond back view. Live shiners work good here for bass or a purple culprit. Bees or going to get nuked. Anything with fire always makes it fun. Guess the boy is still in all of us. Fire ants here in FL and they suck. I give them the business when their in my AO. Will that pond freeze enough to take the grandkids ice skating? I thought with retirement I'd spend it traveling and relaxing. It's just different jobs. I have an A/C disconnect I need to buy/install, run/bury a 150' drain line for my water softener and replace the master cylinder, front brake calipers and rear brake cylinders on a 76 F250.
Every day is Saturday, unless it's Sunday.

Thank ya, Don, great video. If ya can find Ralph Spry, he was my C.O. at HHC 2/9 Inf, Olympic stand by and bass fisherman from hell! Seems like he was from VA, but he was Head Coach at Auburn, AL where he coached 3 - 4 students into Olympics.
A lot of fellers round here swear by dropping Cedars into their ponds, says it provides best protection/hiding.
