Counter-terrorism officers have arrested a teen girl and charged her with terror offences.
Detectives from South Australia's Counter-Terrorism and Security Section swooped on the 14-year-old girl at her Adelaide home on Thursday following an investigation.
She was allegedly found to have in her in possession extremist material and instructions on how to make explosives. The police have charged her with possessing explosive instructions and extremist material.

Where I lived in the early 70s they did reintroduce wild turkeys, I think there was a native population somewhere like the Ozarks that survived and was considered to be "native" anywhere from Texas up to the Dakotas and all the way over to Illinois.
I don't know how much I agree with the environmental aspect of all that, there Were! supposed to be native coyotes and they Are! supposed to tear the crap out of those "native" turkey populations until it all reaches a natural balance.

Then there's this crow study.
Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Bird Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts.
However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws. By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car.
MTA then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.
The Ornithological Behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause: when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger.
The scientific conclusion was that while all the lookout crows could say "Cah", none could say "Truck."

I see that Admiral McCraven got $50 million from Bezos and wants to donate part of it to mental health and brain performance of veterans. It won't do a fucking bit of good unless we can provide an avenue for active duty & veterans to ask for help outside of normal channels which, because of the military "culture", subjects them to actual & perceived shame for daring to talk about their feelings. I know this because I was diagnosed with PTSD--non combat (there are many forms) and spent a long time (20 years) getting the help I needed and was suicidal twice before I got help. Several years ago I explored the possibility of setting up a Military Hotline for active duty and retired vets OUTSIDE of official channels so they could ask for help without being stigmatized--contacted a lot of vet groups but got nowhere--you hooligans got any thoughts?

have new 14 ga. (.69 Cal) flint smooth bore for turkey this year, My last 3 have been with a flintlock 11 ga. Have seen more turkeys on our hunt lease this year than last 4-5. We were afraid we were losing them to leases that leave their corn feeders out all year. A practice we don't do as it just increased the feral hog damage to our roads and plots. Bird in hand is better than one in the bush, but have plans for the wing bones, turkey soup, turkey jerky, simmered in onion soup, turkey burger with minced shrimp, turkey/okra gumbo, turkey........

Counter-terrorism officers have arrested a teen girl and charged her with terror offences.
Detectives from South Australia's Counter-Terrorism and Security Section swooped on the 14-year-old girl at her Adelaide home on Thursday following an investigation.
She was allegedly found to have in her in possession extremist material and instructions on how to make explosives. The police have charged her with possessing explosive instructions and extremist material.
So if I write down get a bucket of petrol and tie a wick to it I go to jail.

My son swapped his city slicker threads for a day under the wide, open sky, hosted by some high rollers lookin' to impress with a good old-fashioned pheasant shoot. Where I lived in the early 70s they did reintroduce wild turkeys, I think there was a native population somewhere like the Ozarks that survived and was considered to be "native" anywhere from Texas up to the Dakotas and all the way over to Illinois.
I don't know how much I agree with the environmental aspect of all that, there Were! supposed to be native coyotes and they Are! supposed to tear the crap out of those "native" turkey populations until it all reaches a natural balance.

No rest for the wicked Don. You always have action going. Hopefully you will get some turkey hunting in. Speaking of turkey our season opens tomorrow where I hunt in N FL where I'm now. This rifle I have had awhile. It's the commie rnd. 7.62x39. Mounted the scope and bore sighted it 3 + years ago and finally decided to shoot it. First time I never had to adjust a rifles sights .50 yrds I had 10 shots I could cover with a quarter today. Rolled out and baited up the hogs. We have plenty up this way. Let's see if they appreciate the commie rnd. Hope Everyone is having a great evening

Don I'm so blown away about The Oyster Farm I just am I love oysters they are my favorite thing in the world to eat and up here in PA you have to pay big bucks to get some that are decent sized and then I like them fried. The ones you have are so large I never seen anything like it. If I had your property I would go outback to get dinner almost every night !! Then there's this crow study.
Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Bird Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts.
However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws. By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car.
MTA then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.
The Ornithological Behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause: when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger.
The scientific conclusion was that while all the lookout crows could say "Cah", none could say "Truck."

I see that Admiral McCraven got $50 million from Bezos and wants to donate part of it to mental health and brain performance of veterans. It won't do a fucking bit of good unless we can provide an avenue for active duty & veterans to ask for help outside of normal channels which, because of the military "culture", subjects them to actual & perceived shame for daring to talk about their feelings.
I know this because I was diagnosed with PTSD--non combat (there are many forms) and spent a long time (20 years) getting the help I needed and was suicidal twice before I got help. Several years ago I explored the possibility of setting up a Military Hotline for active duty and retired vets OUTSIDE of official channels so they could ask for help without being stigmatized--contacted a lot of vet groups but got nowhere--you hooligans got any thoughts?

have new 14 ga. (.69 Cal) flint smooth bore for turkey this year, My last 3 have been with a flintlock 11 ga. Have seen more turkeys on our hunt lease this year than last 4-5. We were afraid we were losing them to leases that leave their corn feeders out all year. A practice we don't do as it just increased the feral hog damage to our roads and plots. Bird in hand is better than one in the bush, but have plans for the wing bones, turkey soup, turkey jerky, simmered in onion soup, turkey burger with minced shrimp, turkey/okra gumbo, turkey........
