If you want to get rid of fruit flies, take a couple of short glasses, like rock glasses. Fill them half way with apple cider vinegar, put plastic wrap over the top. And take a metal skewer, the pointed end, and poke about 8 holes in the top. It will fill with dead fruit flies in no time. Repeat this several times and you will get rid of them.

Hi guys, I was in the NC path of Helene and we got blasted, but nothing compared to western NC. A 70 foot oak tree nearly hit our house and would have destroyed it, falling dead center on our three year old's bedroom. Thank god it didn't fall during the storm. The morning after when I started doing a clean-up plan I noticed something horribly wrong and different from the recon my son and I did around 1 pm when the storm passed over us... a huge oak tree was leaning over the house, and the rootball was lifting up. Long story short: I got us all the fuck out of there, treated the house like it was filled with poison gas and only grabbed valuables and essentials in a 5 minute period because that ominous falling thing could collapse at any time, and we managed to get an awesome tree crew thanks to our AA connection and networking to remove the oak before it killed our house.
