Diane was talking about the beer in white can with black letters the just said BEER. That was when generic products very first hit the grocery stores. My grocery store had an entire aisle of generic goods. It was really cheap. Everything with black letters that said only what product was. Couldn't have happened at a better time. I had 4 growing boys and myself to feed on $25 a week. With careful planning it worked.
