Ok, the story is a special edition just for JAN T. So to continue:

Of course the Commander was always briefed by myself and or the OSI and was kept up-to-date on the investigation. Later that afternoon, the OSI called and informed me that they would be dropping Gary back off at my office which they did. According to the OSI after a short period of "talking", once Gary figured out where they were going with their questioning, he clamed up. The JAG (Judge Advocate General) was consulted and based on the current state of the investigation, no charges pending at the moment, Gary was free to go on with his business, except, he was pulled from his regular duties and assigned to the HQ section under my direct supervision. Standard procedures. We were not going to allow him access to patients. This was a Friday afternoon. Honestly, if it was up to me, I would have preferred he be restricted to the base. The authority was there just because he was under investigation. The JAG reasoning was if he gets convicted, any time he served while under restriction would be taken off his sentence. Who cares? Actually, by this time, I started to worry about the consequences of having him unsupervised. I told Gary the best thing he could do is cooperate with the OSI and stay cool. Don't talk about what is going on with anyone if I was you. Just my advice. Of course Gary claimed the woman making the accusations was nuts and denied every thing he was being accused of. Honestly, at this point, I almost believed him. Almost. To be continued.
