Many in this new generation have been coddled all their lives and they have a major sense of entitlement. I've heard a very small percentage of those who go for BUDS training actually pass. I think in future years, that percentage is going to be even lower.

Damn Senior, it sounds like you are describing a kid we had onboard the USS Honolulu SSN-718 to a freaking T. He had tried BUDS twice and the first time he was booted at the pool phase and the second time was during hell week, he made it sound like it was the instructors faults and that his classmates didn't like him at all. He was onboard in '93 and made a few runs with us before Clinton came out with the "don't ask, don't tell" crap and he came out of the closet because he couldn't handle being on submarines. That was one of the fastest discharges I have ever seen, his favorite quote was "my girlfriend and I have enough training and weapons to take over a small country" I had forgotten about that kid until now while watching the video

The dog thing was funny Don, they do stuff like that when their skin is too dry (I guess). I have four cats indoor /outdoor, they get fleas they don't get on the bed, we use these fine toothed combs to keep the extra hair (fur-ball prevention) and fleas under control in addition to meds from the Vet for fleas and ticks, more ticks dropping from trees and climbing up legs... On the swimming so freaking what. The guy probably couldn't tread water either. He cannot handle a encounter in the water, what happens if he has enemy contact, pulling them under? A lot of people panic, I have pulled a few they start trying to climb on top of you panicked. They are likely too stupid to be a seal, everything is for survival under expected conditions.
