I had a double malfunction once and had to go to my reserve chute. I remember thinking "Am I'm stupid enough to release my main and rely on this never before used reserve at this height??".... but training kicks in and you just do it. Besides, I had the unfortunate opportunity to see someone have their reserve "candy cane" around his main when he didn't.

I still love my old trusty 5906. Although pretty stock on the outside...it's one of my "sleeper" pistols. Match barrel, lightened spring, trigger work and it's as accurate as my original P228...but not quite as comfortable. Still have the original grips and they're well worn but probably in the neighborhood of 25k rounds will do that!lol! Not a fan of the Tupperware guns...I prefer blued or stainless steel for the most part.
