It turns out a family genealogist had another picture of my father—YEAHHH! This brings the total count to two. One his USAF picture, and the second, drum roll, is his wedding picture. Taken on October 19, 1944, in Berkeley, California. That's Mom and Dad in the middle, with the best man Ernest Lawrence on the far left and his wife Mary on the far right. Woo hoo! Dad regales us with the story about how Ernest loaded their luggage with clocks set to go off at all hours of the night. Hey, what's a best man for.
