Mom is away on a course in New York. As usual, she asked our good neighbor, Hef, to watch us while she's away. It's usually a romper room atmosphere when we're at Hef's place. This time was different; Hef reminded us that our written HVAC testing was coming up fast, and we needed to be studying for it. Hef set us up with a place to study. We played the part until he left the room. We already know about electrical systems, heat load calculations, and code requirements. We do our best when we cram for these tests at the very last possible minute. We already doubled down anyway by getting a copy of the exam from Bob. #2 propped our hats as if to make it look like we were studying hard; he bragged Hef would never know the difference. So we bolted out the door to enjoy our Saturday, get away with murder, and make it back in time for a nice barbecued steak and a few beers. Hef will be happy believing we put in hours of study. We get to watch movies and play video games; it's a win-win for both. Back to a normal Saturday night at Hef's: alcohol, smoking, snacks, and an early morning road tour. Mom always preached about looking after number one...
