Good morning everyone, Don we would never known how much work is put into your hunts. You have the objective to keep everyone happy and at ease. The small things add up and you sir nip them in the bud. It is good you are always at the ready. May I make a suggestion about your rat problem. Hunt them at night and use 22 shorts or pellet rifle. Get a 55 gallon drum and use a tilt lid and you will catch them live. Goggle catching mice or rats. I caught many using this method. Have a means for them to climb up to top.
Your grandson will look back and appreciate all of the character building experiences and life lessons you taught him. Hope you video his total appreciation for the gift. Anyway there are times you feel that you have failed as a mentor to your children. For example just the other day my youngest came to me and said "Dad, there is a spider." Now, this is a girl that is athletic, works out, lifts weights, and plays rugby, and the boys follow her around like puppy dogs. I said, "well then kill it." Her response was, "Dad it's a spider." In her eyes I am the great spider killer. It is times like that I question my parenting abilities.
Bought Tina tickets to Bocelli for Christmas….. May 20, 2023 at the Allstate Arena. She will be able to understand a lot of songs since she speaks Italian. Can’t wait to see her eyes when she opens that gift! 👍😉

woot! Yeah, you MUST tell all shooters "Don't shoot the decoys" because for some reason it never occurs to them that the shot will penetrate. There's a few "rattlers" here sealed up with silicone caulk. And yes Senior, ain't none of us getting any younger. Very excited about the hunt!

No joy with my steel traps last night. The neighbour has a few white ducks in an open pen for Christmas dinner, but nothings touched them, strange.
Christmas forecast, 17-20c, its usually 40c, Im not complaining.
Would ice form if you coated the decoys with vegetable oil?
