Since this thread seems quiet this morning, I will post this.

I watched Secretary of State Blinken being interviewed this morning. The words I feared I would hear, he spoke. (paraphrased) "President Biden has assured that all Americans (here it comes) 'who WANT to get leave Afghanistan' will come home".

This is what I figured would happen. All of our people who will get left there by his treason, will be marked off the books as "they wanted to stay and help the Afghans". Or some other such lies as it takes to get this out of the media and off of his plate. But, the truth always comes out. Americans left will in some way get the stories of their betrayal out. Biden will never live this down and in 2022, if we can hopefully take the House and maybe the Senate back, I am hoping for impeachment proceeding.

I am praying for our citizens and especially, our troops there.

Left the house in a good mood this morning. Came home depressed as hell. A farm that I've hunted since my childhood has gone to the developers. House torn down, lumber harvested and they're putting up a UStore-It facility where I've groundhog hunted a thousand times. It was a gauranteed for one pheasant, and occasionally a nice deer, place to hunt.The kids sold it off to a developer. I feel like my youth was a lie. Did I really enjoy life here. Sorry for the rant. Nothing lasts forever, but they could have waited 'till I was gone to crush my memories.

Okay, I didn't want to be too political today. But, I hear and read that while the British SAS is going into Kabul to retrieve their citizens, their Afghan aides, and any other westerners they come across, the General in charge of American forces is reading the riot act to the British Commander. Why? In the reports I read, it is because the General believed they were embarrassing the American policy. The American policy of first, shelter in place (meaning "good luck", and now, there's no guarantee we can get our people out. (meaning don't call us, we'll call you)

The only embarrassment I can see here is the complete dysfunction of our Administration, our State Department, DoD, and our Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. While there is plenty of intel that other General Officers had better-laid plans for this evacuation, their inputs were dismissed.

It has been a rare time in my life when I felt ashamed of our nation's actions. This is paramount of those times.

And before I leave this subject, all I hear now is how dire it is that we have to get the Afghan aides out as soon as possible. Twitter and others are blown up with "pray for the Afghans". I'm sorry for them, but I am praying for our Americans first. They should be our first priority and none before them.

That's my 2 cents.

Good morning Echo platoon. I was reading an article on gunbroker about the smith and wesson model 39 chambered in 9x19mm 9mm Parabellum.
The cool thing the Vietnam Navy SEAL guys used these in a modified version called the MK22. Came with a supressor and an attachable paratrooper stock. Really cool article. Very few are still out there with most now being museum pieces. The SEALs nicknamed these the "hushpuppy".
Interesting read especially for me. I am a diehard S&W fan.

Yeah there is genuinely a difference between mental problems and character flaws. Sometimes they overlap, but usually someone who's really up against it with the demons of the mind is not coming from a place of malicious intent, it's just not something they have any control over. Senior would a capillary aka french drain help on that field that stays too wet? We use them quite a bit here on sites that have poor drainage for one reason or another. It appears your land is very flat so not sure if you could get enough fall for a capillary drain to work properly.
